Raptor 5.4 2010 misfire

Hello team,

I'm back with a new problem.
F150 2010 5.4 3V 85.000milles

Misfire of cylinders 5 and 6. castanet noise

They occur above 4,000 rpm on the road when accelerating full load, on hills, on sand...

At idle, a slight misfire from time to time.

With no load on P and N, bridle at 5,000rpm and back down to 4,000rpm without misfiring.

Made work
Replacement of spark plugs.
Coil and injector swapping.
Cleaning MAF sensor.
CKP sensor changeover.
replacement 2 x O2 sensor.
Just replacing 1 x catalyst sensor.

The problem persists on the same cylinders.

Cylinder leak test at 80 PSI
5= 72psi
6= 78psi
other cylinder 70 , 80.
I am told about a valve leak, but my test shows that it is not?

So I'm thinking of this gas butterfly located in the manifold which will be broken and will clamp the engine.

Otherwise, faulty hydraulic tappets or bad oil?

Tomorrow I will swap the catalyst sensor as the other is old, see if the problem moves.

I am going to do an oil change because it is at maintenance km.

Please take the time, because the other garage wants to open the engine.
And I'm sure the problem is not there.

Just a guess, how are your catylic converters? Any chance these are toast, hows your fuel pressure?

Hello,

As said, today I wanted to swap the catalyst control sensors.
I took the opportunity to look through the borehole to see inside.
View the photo
So catalyst HS.
I emptied the inside of the catalysts and put bugs on the control sensors.

So if failed ignition on cylinder 5 and 6, and lack of power with coupling: check your catalyst.

Where I live there is no problem with homologation, you just have to get used to the noise!

remains to be confirmed on the main road that the pcm does not turn on. Otherwise I will put new ones.

So in English? If I’m reading this right, you hollowed out your catalytic converters as they were plugged up and you bypassed your O2 sensor’s ? Not making fun of you bro, just trying to read through and understand with my old brain :)

How long are these pressures held compared to other cylinders? Do they retain 70PSI for a second or a minute or two compared to other cylinders?

On a side note, are there other Raptors or even one other one where you live? It looks like the population is over 1 million if my google search is accurate. Would like to see some pictures of the area if that is even possible. Have a great day. Do you speak mainly French over there as well?

yes, French is a second language after Lingala, the local language.

For the probes I inserted the part between the probe and the catalyst.
