Seeing that Ford announce that the Raptor R is really coming..

Dealer I'm dealing with for my 2022 Gen 3 told me they have 10 people on the list for an R, no deposit down and they'll be doing 30K over sticker. I was like ooook then, hasn't even been announced etc but throw me on the list anyways lol...

I wont pay 30K over sticker so don't worry, just curious and waiting to see what actually happens... Feb is supposed to be the R reveal so who knows.

I hope everyone has deep pockets and lives near the desert so you can use a purpose-built truck...

My guess is that we see the Raptor R for the first time in a Baja race. Similar to what Ford did with the Bronco R. Your going to be able to get a Prerunner with a warranty but it will cost you. If Ford follows the same path as they have for the Bronco R this will be a limited run truck and it will cost over $250k. Compare that to a Gen 2 Mid travel setup that costs under $150K for truck, labor, and parts for a very capable setup and if you need to you can take it one step further and 4 link for around $175.

What amazes me is that Ford has told dealers not do mark up vehicles, and yet they still are. If Ford has stated that dealers to not mark up, they need to action to stop it, or it was just all hyperbole!

BTW, I have created a whole new Ford Raptor R section, similar to the GENs forum section. I have added a Engine and Suspension section and not sure if I need to add the other right away, as most talk will be about the 2 I added.

I doubt it will be limited or even a full on pre-runner like Bronco DR. They created the DR to advertise the Bronco Raptor or just the normal Bronco. They will do the same with the Raptor R, created a full on pre-runner to advertise the street legal, full production, Raptor R.
