Agree, I had the bottom cushion of my seat (non recaro) replaced on my '18 at 5K miles, it was already out of spec per Ford. I am the second owner but whoever owned it before me only put on 5K miles in 3 years of owning the truck. After replacing it and putting on my own 6K miles since I use the lift out method, sux but I don't want to have to replace again. Oh and they glue the headed seat part to the foam so they both have to be replaced at the same time.
I’m surprised that was covered. The previous owner obviously used the seat bolster as a slide to exit the truck.

Jayzuss. Eat some fruit. :p

Your truck will thank you.

My ‘fun size’ wife used to love to turn and slide out of the truck. I knew the talk would be a difficult one so, I broached it one Saturday, just before motorcycle racing was on. I got the look, silent treatment for 6 hours and got to watch the races in total peace and harmony, only paying the price at dinner.

Now if she does the slide, she will make a big production out of getting back in the truck and getting out the correct way. :-/
I Always refer back to this before I open my pie-hole…but sometimes I just can’t help myself lol..you play you got pay! :chair::argue:CAAC6F3E-1637-462E-B440-66182C7D7296.jpeg

I made sure not to ‘slip’ out of the truck but step on the runners to not wear down the seats. I CRINGE watching people ‘slide’ out of my passenger side, especially the older, or bigger folks. It’s horrible wear and tear on higher vehicles.
thats why I dont let people in my truck. lmao. I can screw it up all on my own dont need anyone else help

Well thanks everyone! Appreciate your input and sharing what you've seen or been through. So in summary:
- I'll train myself to enter and exit the vehicle appropriately, as this is a known issue.
- I might look at adding some tape or material to where the plastic meets the leather underneath.
- Probably not worth trying to correct my wife on how she gets in or out.
- I should probably think of losing ~30 lbs or so for my knees, backs, hips, heart and other internal shiznat.
- If worse comes to worse, I could always try to replace my Recaro seat with my 2012 Prius seat (over 110K miles, very comfy, both sides balanced, no noise).
Cheers,
FBT

I had a similar problem with my 2010 Toyota Sequoia, at 175k miles the left side of the seat bolster foam was completely worn and I ended up ordering a seat foam replacement and it’s good as new now.

Sounds like I should just look at the Raptor and drive the Maverick. Will make for good resale?
