I'm a sucker for black vehicles, it's a love hate relationship! I always swear that I'll never buy another one, but then I see how beautiful the new ones look and I buy another one. I wish they offered a flat black like I have on my Harley, it's sweet! Anyway, I could also be really tempted by a dark gray, like they have on other F150s, but unfortunately it's not offered on the Raptor.

Debated this to no end before purchase...

My last black truck was a pain in the ass, it was solid (non-metallic) black Silverado. Cleaning that color was painful, given that anything but perfection looked like crap. The metallic black on the Raptor seems to be much easier. The most annoying bit about cleaning it is not the color, but getting mud out of the running boards.

Not exactly summer but have seen 85* in January...again not so rough given that you can vent out the sunroof, rear window, and all four windows roll down after its been parked in the sun.

Certainly still a compromise, but I couldn't get over how neat they looked in black.

My 2004 FX4 was darg grey matalic. There were time I didn't wash it for 6 months. It looked ok as long as it was not the winter crap. Just daily rain and stuff, dust didn't matter. Now I gotta clean atleast till it gets beat up a tad. I would have bought it in Darg Grey again.

Nice thing about living in the great white north. One good wash/wax after the snow settles and I'm good for 6 months, lol.
