Since having my front camera replaced under warranty, I noticed that the end of the headlight trim piece is no longer tightly/solidly attached, next to where it meets the center trim piece. I noticed it moved when I washed it. I can move it in and out if I pull on it. I can't remember, is there a *** on the trim that goes into a plastic tab behind there? I just wanted to find out before I call them to have then fix it. It's way too cold right now to pull it and look without a heated garage. Thanks.

dude, seriously? A d!ck pic ?

:p

Apologies... I know, straight to the gutter and all... Alas, I’ve not had that trim fully detached, only far enough to remove the grille and reinstall.

Hopefully others will have more ... productive... commentary !

When I did the light bar behind the grille, I removed the headlight trim.

The headlight trim snaps into the centre trim - there’s a prong that hooks into the centre trim.

I have to take mine apart again since it’s not seated properly. I think the proper way to do it is to start the headlight trim at that centre and then work your way out. I believe you have to remove the fender flares too.

Hope that makes sense.

It does, I had it off when I first got the truck, but I can't remember what it looked like. I couldn't remember what was behind where it joined the grill piece.

They might have broke that tab on the end of the headlight trim piece. When you snap that together it usually pops right in and is pretty solid. Solid to the point it’s not easy to pop out. If you can’t snap it solidly together by pressing it with your thumb (it looks like it’s down all the way) I’d have them look at it, I wouldn’t try to pull it apart if the plastic is cold.

I think they broke a tab on the trim piece too. The problem is you can’t repair them so a new trim piece is required and it will need to be color matched. Please keep us posted.
