jealously is an ugly emotion! As Forest Gump once said, stupid is as stupid does. Regardless, I did not attack anyone first, I just indicated that I may sell a truck and make a few bucks doing it. Think of it like the Rittenhouse verdict, although the facts speck for themselves, people are not happy with the outcome. Call me names, throw insults, do whatever makes you feel good, facts speak volumes. On another topic, this is the reason sooooo many innocent people elect to plead to a crime they did not commit, prosecutors are notorious for placing people on juries that cannot think for themselves and get emotionally involved in the case. Prosecutors also want people that follow and refuse to listen to reason. There are a ton of people sitting in prison just because they did not want to chance going away forever. I am not a troll, or a person throwing around the so-called wealth some perceive, I am just a person that may sell a truck.…..PERIOD! All of that aside, I hope I like the Raptor, but if I do not, I can sell it and I still have a 2019. It’s a win win for me and to top things off, I will make enough money to buy another bottle of Pappy Van Winkle!

He hopes he likes it but if he doesn’t, he can sell it? Didn’t he just say it was sold? This guy can’t be a lawyer. They know how to keep their lies straight. I hate to give trolls the attention, but this guy is actually entertaining.

That's what I'm saying- he's got to be a comedian or something. He then compared people having an opinon on a truck forum to murder trials and incompetent juries. Literally mind blown.

Bruh this thread is hilarious. Well worth the 15 minutes to ride this roller coaster. This dude just loves throwing around jargon to try to validate his position. Also, Pappy Van Winkle isn't that expensive and most of it is sold by raffle or lottery. I feel like this kid grew up on 4chan memes because apparently he's a lawyer, military dog trainer, ex paramilitary contractor for Blackwater...I'm sorry XE....wait sorry again its Academi now (at least since 2011).

Man, this thread continues the WIN! Pure internet gold right here.

You’re in VA with state controlled liquor stores, so that statement is true in VA, where they’ve been stealing freedom since 1607 and other states who just couldn’t quite let prohibition go. But, I can assure you that there is a rather big and active secondary market for Pappy.

It’s a bit over hyped. Sure, it’s good bourbon, it’s even great bourbon, but it’s not more than 3 digits a bottle bourbon. In many ways, PVW is like a ’21 Raptor without a moon roof. Raptor aficionados covet it, amateurs don’t know much about it either way, but they know that those in the know want it, so they want it to and they tell their friends “yo. I’m JONESING for the ’21 Raptor / PVW 15/23.” So those people are like - hey, my bud says he wants the Rap, so I’m getting one.
And so on.

Pappy is good and slightly different from a lot of other bourbons because of the wheat instead of rye in the mash bill. Yeah, I want it, but I’m not paying stupid money for it. Lots of other great stuff out there.

as a VA denizen, you should be camping out for the Abraham Bowman releases at A. Smith Bowman in Frednecksburg. This is probably the most under-appreciated, outstanding bourbon around. It’s probably the one thing I miss about VA. Their ’sweet 16’ Abraham was epic. Every bit the match for PVW. I’ve done side by side tastings with several folks, all whiskey enthusiasts and it’s a very even split for who likes what.

Anyway, let’s not derail this fine, entertaining show with bourbon talk, let’s let the cyber chest thumping resume.

Hey man I grew up in spotsyltucky/frednecksburg. And I'm not one to turn up my nose to Pappy, but I've had it and I agree that its not worth more than 3 digits. I personally think its a bit much at its list price most times, but to each their own. I also happen to have a '21 without the moon roof ;), mostly because the wife and I agreed that we never used them anyways in our current vehicles and it was just one more thing to break over time.
