Curious on where you got the cushion from?

My drivers side cushion is shot. Bought the truck used that way. Think previous owner was a big ole boy as that bottom is flat as a pancake and has been giving me a sore tailbone on long drives.

@FordTechOne DM'ing you for the instructions also if you don't mind.

$1340 is the cheapest I can find the passenger side. I can’t find the drivers side foam for the Recaro’s and that’s what I need. Dealership told me it’s not covered under the ESP and the old heater won’t work with the new foam. Was quoted $1800 before labor for just the foam and heater. That’s ridiculous for foam. Thinking about going to a local upholstery shop and paying them to hand cut new foam and rig it so it will all work.

Will aftermarket heating element work? Fairly simple part. $20.

I installed heated seats in an old British sports car. Works great!

As mentioned, take offs are an option. But I'd imagine there are local shops you can bring the seats to and they will make you a product 10x better than factory.

I am trying to find a drivers side seat bottom cushion with air and heat... are they really so different from other cushions?

I see one for FL3Z-15632A23-A and thats non air and non heat but I am wondering if its the same foam but without a heating element included. My heating element seems to work fine. Vent holes for air?

I think I need a FL3Z-1663223-D but it says its discontinued...not sure what # replaced it.

I guess I am tyring to be cheap but $90 bucks vs $1340 it has to be more than foam to make the cost so different.

If anyone has links please post em.

Just had my driver's seat cushion replaced by the dealer. Parts and labor $450. I also have them replacing the heated seat blower assembly. That was covered under extended warranty with $100 deductible. I go pick it up after work. I can post part numbers later.

Do you have an update on part numbers?
