Roush belts can only be bought through roush..... not cheap either.
$125ish?
Whipple belts are $37-$40
100k miles on my alt. No issues
100k miles on the whipple too, no issues.
527 rwhp
87 octane
Std 3.500 pulley.

All great info. I am going to go with Whipple and replace the alternator while I am at it. I talked with the dealer and although the alternator is a pain to change with the Whipple, spark plugs are a pain to change with the Roush. Overall I think I will be happier with the Whipple kit.

This is good info. Thank you. Do you run your truck offorad?

I love my Whipple on my F150 coyote. I make 900HP on E85 at 12psi. Stock internals!

In the drag racing world, the Roush is known to run hot to the point of under tuning to avoid the issue. Further, why opt for 2.3L of displacement when 2.9L is available? On Coyotes you have to grind down the timing chain cover to make it fit.

Thanks! I actually managed to pick up an uninstalled one from a fellow forum member for a great price! I will also be replacing:

1. Tensioner
2. Alternator (with Factory HD 200amp)
3. Timing Chains, Tensioners, Guides, gaskets, etc.

Supercharger was delivered to Hillbank last week (took six weeks to get from Whipple). I have an appointment on the 10th to get it installed. Should be done by the 14th. Looking forward to it!!! :)
 
Top
