Vent phone holders cause premature phone failures due to overheating with the heater on.
I had two phones die on me due to this.

weather tech cup phone holder. I don’t use it much but it does what they say it will. Honestly, mine is mostly on me, unless I suspect I may need to navigate and the stock maps are not helping. but the cup phone holder was a gift so I use it once in a while.

I always thought the thin slot between the shifter and cup holder was a phone holder. Thats where I put mine.

That's where mine goes!

I've always avoided the vent type for fear it might break the vent. But now I have another reason to skip the vent type. Thanks!

I have a cup holder type, but always ended up removing it for Starbuck's iced coffee for me, and Starbuck's Green Tea Frappuccino for the Mrs. For what it's worth, I prefer McDonald's sugar free French vanilla iced coffee over Starbuck's. Plus, the Raptor is usually easier to navigate McDonald's drive-thru lanes. Some of the Starbuck's lanes are made for Prius'.
