I've done several of these on my and family member's vehicles. They are so cheap you can try several models without hurting yourself. Never a failure yet and just splice them into your backup light taillight wire or run them up to a fitter switch. I just have mine into the backup light. It;s mounted in between the hitch and bumper back out of sight.

Decided I didn’t like how I had the Upfitter Switches set up, so I made a little change:


Upfitter Switch Summary:

• Switch #1: Rough Country Lights in the bumper (Two Pair of Rough Country 3” Wide Angle OSRAM LED Lights, One Pair of Rough Country 2” Square Cree LED Lights) Mounted with the Rough Country Light Bracket for the Raptor
  
• Switch #2: Rough Country 12” Cree LED Light Bar (Dual Row) in the middle of the bumper/Rough Country 30” LED Hidden Grill Light Bar
• Switch#3: 5" Round LED’s Mounted with ZROADZ Brackets on the hood
• Switch #4: EMPTY
• Switch #5: EMPTY
• Switch #6: Rough Country LED Light Bar mounted between the bumper and the receiver hitch

should get some amber or blue covers for your lights. will help a lot with refraction from the snow and let you see better

Really like that idea; I’d imagine it makes backing the truck up at night much easier.

Really like that idea; I’d imagine it makes backing the truck up at night much easier.

It should help with that, but the big reason I did this was for hooking up a trailer when it’s dark. It really helps with that too.

That reverse light looks perfect there and is exactly what I was looking for. Anything special about how you mounted it in that location? Looks tight getting in there.
