Get one if you’re able. You won’t feel a thing on those cobblestone streets they have in German cities.

I (luckily) don't live in Germany, but we do have cobblestone roads for aesthetics and to keep people from speeding. This dealer is actually located on a cobblestone road, haha! And the Raptor handled it like a unibody car... I was truly amazed. My RAM felt like it was rattling all over the place and falling apart driving there, lol!

Welcome to the place. Let us know if you get one, they are very reliable vehicles.

Thank you! I was honestly preparing to get it out of my head. They sell so quick they couldn't even schedule a test drive for me. I decedied to call back on Friday and the first guy who helped me was there, and he could schedule one on Saturday! I decided to go yesterday and finally drove one.

I was very impressed with how nimble and planted to the road it felt. I have a 2019 Wrangler Rubicon with KO2's that drives pretty bad on road so I was a little scared the Raptor would 'float' as well, but she drove WAY better than my Ram Sport. Like I said, over bumps and everything it feels like a unibody.
I don't understand the people who said it rides 'rough' or harsh or that it's not meant for highway driving. It genuinely drives smoother than my RAM that's not even built for hard core off-roading.

I kind of assumed it wasn't going to work out. You're not really allowed to pay cash for a new car in the EU, but they need to allow me to pay some in cash (I also don't pay tax on whatever I pay in cash). He offered 20k at first, which wouldn't be worth it, especially since they gave me a horrible trade-in value for my current one. Then all of a sudden, the guy who owns the place tells me they could do 30... which made it not impossible, so now I'm REALLY considering it! I kinda want to push it to 35 lol. They can't give me a better trade-in value, and proposed to sell private so I need to figure that out but damn... it might actually be possible.

The only things I miss (I know, it sounds stupid and corny), are that there isn't really a 'hood view' from the driver's seat. Loved seeing the hood.
And of course, the sound... I really love the sound of my V8 so much, and it's still stock. Kind of afraid I'll get some FOMO when other guys drive by with their good-sounding trucks... but then again. I really love the Raptor and it's so much more capable. I can't afford to get stuck again with RAM's horrible fake 4X4 system.

Thank you guys all for the input!! Helped so much!!
I'm suck at making decisions and obviously got a little attached to my old truck but I think the Raptor is what's best for me. Thank you!!!

Hope you guys had a great New Year as well!

Thank you! I talked to Ford first (there only have 1 available in the very good looking blue, but are quite a bit more expensive and you can't go see it) and they said they ran out of stock in June, so Ford send them the very last batch of Raptors that were technically meant for Mexico. I checked multiple dealers and they indeed all say "Lobo", whereas the models I see on the road say "F150". If there's no technical difference, I don't mind.
Do you think I take the 'LOBO' badge off on the tailgate that spells FORD? Is it just glued on? Because the Lobo badge is pretty huge! :)
Other than that, Ford only sells models with the "8 O 2" package, whatever that means. I snapped a pic of a VIN last week but don't think I can pull up a build sheet online (couldn't find it).

Do you have a photo of the badging? The smaller badges are held on with adhesive, but if it’s an appliqué it may be glued and/or bolted on. As far as technical differences, I am not aware of any. The 802A is the top trim level.

And I'm sorry, I didn't mean cloth seats, but cloth inserts. I'm not sure what that's called in English: the part that cushions you in (bolster?). The rest of the seat looks leather. Some say it's a Lobo thing, some say it's a 2020 thing?

Are the inserts blue? If so those are the Recaro seats with the Alcantara inserts. The option became available starting with 2019 802A models.

The sales guy told me if you don't climb rocks or jump, there's nothing a Raptor can do that a Limited can't... but like most sales people, I don't really think he knew what he's talking about. Glad I joined this forum where people with actual knowledge and experience can teach me! So excited to go test drive one now!

The two models couldn’t be more different; the guy must have never seen a Raptor.

Do you have a photo of the badging?

Actually, I do!

It honestly looks like a badge that might come off with some fishing wire, but I'm curious about what's hiding underneath. F150's in Europe usually say "F-150" and it looks like the logo kind of blends into the platic panel on the tailgate (if that's how you say it). Like there's an outline the badge fits into. I really wonder if that's what's underneath this LOBO badge.

Called Ford customer service and they confirmed it's because we ran out of Raptors mid 2020, so they sent us the last batch of Raptors that were originally meant for Mexico (sorry, Mexicans). After this it's done, they stopped making them to get ready for the 2022 model.

This is a customer's (other kind of) F150, and you can see how the badge is kind of pushed into that silver cover piece.

Are the inserts blue? If so those are the Recaro seats with the Alcantara inserts.

Nope, not the Recaro seats. We can't get those, unfortunately. I actually have a pic of it as well!

You can kind of see the cloth inserts with a honeycomb pattern. Forum member Braaaaptor confirmed it's a 2020 thing in general. I like the leather look better, but have to admit that's wear most of the wear occors (cracks, sweat, ...). I'm just glad it's not some kind of 'Lobo compromise'! :)

The two models couldn’t be more different; the guy must have never seen a Raptor.

You are 100% right. Honestly a lot of sales guys suck in general, and he wasn't great either. You guys have helped me a million times better, without getting paid for it, lol.
He even insisted the orange Fox shocks are brand new for 2020, even though I'm pretty darn sure they were introduced in 2019, but ok... whatever.

I'll see if they let me come over, I'm ready to close the deal. They called me to say only 1 model's left, but they might just be pushing me to buy quicker lol, not sure.

@FordTechOne you sound like you know a lot about Raptors! Do you know if I can pull up some sort of build sheet using the VIN somewhere?
I don't know if it comes with the Torsen front diff, and definitely can't ask them because they barely know what a transfer case is. Or is it standard on an 802A?

Thank you so much for your help sir!!!

The Raptor applique is actually all one piece, so the "LOBO" badge doesn't come off, at least as far as the parts catalog indicates. It's possible that you may be able to remove it, but I don't think you'll find anything underneath.

Correct, Live Valve shocks came out on 2019 models.

Oh for real? Do they have a different appliqué that spells "F O R D" for the LOBO and F150? When I first saw it, it just really looked like they glued the LOBO badge over where the F150 one should go, because it's so huge and sticks out like that. But if it's actually removable, it'll look stupid if there's a cutout for the F150 logo underneath, lol :p

Thank you!!! Unfortunately, "the sticker for this vehicle is not yet available". Might also not work because it's not a U.S. vehicle maybe?

Anyone have experience with the B&O sound system? I'm used to the 9 speaker Alpine in my vehicle and it's decent (others described it as very good back then, but it's just 'good', not super wow). Didn't really get to try the sound system in the Raptor. Sales guy just kept talking lol.

Some will say it's bad, others like myself, will say it's pretty decent. I am by no means an audio person however who notices a super high-quality system from something that's average.

Pending the market there on your Ram, perhaps it would be easier to just take the loss on how much the dealership will give you versus the process of selling it privately? Convenience can be worth something.

Yes, on the 802a the torsion front diff. is standard equipment.
