Well comparing a base model N/A C8 vette to a 6 figure tt luxury GT that doubles as a track weapon isn’t exactly fair.....but, even more embarrassing would be me driving my “old” modded C5 vette to the track to destroy both a C8 & a 992 turbo & then driving back home from said track ;-)

let’s see what the High end vettes bring to the table- I’m already getting blown up twin cam tt engines from their Tonawanda factory...last time I saw something similar wound up being the black wing V8 used in CT6V, but those had the turbos inside the “V” in middle of blocks these new engines have em mounted in the back/rear of engine similar to Raptor actually - although I also heard they’re working on a N/A engine for the Z06

they should also employ an AWD variant w/ electric motor in diff driving front wheels....either ZR1 or possibly even a higher level HyperCar “zora” edition

Bottom line is- whatever brand you choose these days the performance out the box is insane!!

Lol....I remember one of my early track days....show up in my C6Z....I was a decent driver....my car was fast....there was a guy in a stock looking C5 and nothing special....HE DESTRYED EVERYONE...that thing flew around the track like no ones business....he was a really good driver in a really good car...driving circles around guys with $100, $200K cars....true story....all these crazy fast cars are worthless without a good driver

The Raptor has been kicked out into the driveway until a full top to bottom detail is done to this 2011 GT500. It was pretty rough cosmetically when I picked it up last week. Got a full paint correction, engine bay clean and interior scrub over the weekend, going to have all wheels refurbed over the next week then some misc PDR. When finished it goes under a cover in the driveway. 1 of 61 convertibles made in this color, and 1 of 53 with SVT trim. GT500 convertibles are generally pretty rare, Ford only made around 950 of them in 2011.

man nice find if it were me I’d be doing the opposite- Raptor gets abused & treated like a truck (but a cool one anyhow lol) & the sports car gets the garage
