To stock or not to stock, tis the question

So its evident looking around the forums, people love to mod the raptors. I have always been big into "making it my own" and bringing older vehicles up to new standards. I have made thus far a few easily reversable mods to keep the original integrity of the truck in hopes of keeping my 2014 SE for a very long time. I almost take this approach, when I personally go to a car show, the original or just tastefully modified classic cars are so much cooler then the heavily modded versions of the same classic cars. Now I know the Gen 1 is a long ways from being a classic but I have no doubt it will become one. I am finding it very hard to leave the truck alone. Who else is staying as close to factory as possible and why?

I told myself...I wasn't going to mess with the exhaust....and to leave it stock.

Now I have the itch....and leaning towards the corsair sport catback

I didn't want to go all out
Corsair Sport.....is subtle

Now the hard question.....I can't quite answer.....should I go with the Black Chrome tips or...stainless for a Silver colored truck

So one of those reversable mods I did was the exhaust...I highly recommend the Volant catback(made by corsa) with the faction fab resonator delete. It has the no drone technology, sounds mean at start up and WOT and it is whisper quiet cruising. I commute mostly highway and could not be happier with it. You will save a ton of money over the corsa and get the same sound/no drone technology

3.0's, exhaust, intake, tune... Make the truck completely different and way better. I would not hesitate to do them..
Tune is off the table for me unfortunately right now, I have about 85,000 miles left on my ford esp plan, so I dont need them denying warranty claims. What intake do you have? I hear mixed opinions on if an intake actually makes a difference without a tune but with one im sure there is something to be gained.

KEEP IT STOCK......2014 was the last year of Gen 1,and agree,they will go up in value if kept in good condition,mine has already increased.I do consider mine "Stock" because work was done by SHELBY...and all I've addede is Driving/Fog lights in bumper and a Tonneau cover.
If your going to real beat on it for work or play,not really going to matter,so modify away...but if keeping for long haul as the best damn truck ever and a daily driver going off road once and a while like me....keep it stock...
Maybe do the Exhaust...even Wheels...easy reversals...just remember to keep EVERYTHING you take off it.....
This comes from a guy who still owns his High School car he bought in 1973,a 1963 Corvette....47 years,and has a shop full of parts from its history...its gone from mild stock to wild street racer (Dual Carb w/Blower)...but I never touched the body,or interior,changed engine out 3-4 times depending on my mood or going thru 2nd childhood...but now,it sits in Garage and you would be hard pressed to know its not a 2-3 year old used car.Totally back to the way it came from showroom...not going to win Bloomfield NCRS Top Flight Awards,but have won 6-7 in its history...
So.....after my rant.LOL....STOCK would be my choice...if you want to play with mods and can afford it,buy a 2012,2013 and go at it..!:33:

I went with the JLT because its the only one that has a bigger MAF housing so it actually flows more than stock, it also 100% requires a tune. Truck made (on a dynojet, so these are relaible numbers) 346whp and 363wtq on 91 octane with stock manifolds and cats.

3.0's won't void your warranty ;)
