Hey guys, just wanted to make a video of the stuff I carry in the Gen 1. Not pictured is a 60" Hi-Lift jack with the base plate, 2 large heavy duty wheel chocks, and X-Bull traction boards with bag. I feel like the only thing I may be missing at this point is a winch.

Gloves I ordered today and will have tomorrow. My old pair of leather gloves went in the trash, so they weren't pictured. Not sure what I need Covid masks for in my recovery kit, we always have them leaving the house. What do you have a ski mask for outside of winter? I guess tape and zip ties aren't a bad addition either. As far as spare fuel and water goes, I don't carry that stuff around all the time, only when going offroad.

one is none, two is one. If you end up with grease or mud on your 1 mask and have to procure food, water, beer, what have you, and you’re in one of the no mask/no service areas, you need spares.

it kind of goes with the gloves, gorilla tape, zip ties theme. ;)

yeah, you never know when you’re going to have to field expedient repair a loose auto body part.

gotcha.

I usually have a spare mask, so not a big issue there at least. I get what you're saying now with the ski mask. Haha I'm sure the zip ties and the tape will come in handy at some point. The spare fuel and water goes with on the long trips where I'll potentially be away from that stuff, I just don't carry it around in the day to day. :)

I have been wanting to build this for sometime, so I built a small light weight version for mostly camping and remote travel. Not necessary recovery gear, but definitely my new addition to the tool bag/kit. For now I had a SLA 12V / 7AH battery I borrowed from my fishing Kayak depth/sounder battery kit, will upgrade to a LiPO battery which in the same size will be more efficient, double the AHs and half the weight; tempImagecwckHO.pngtempImageKqcJDo.pngtempImageXXntzR.png
