Guys, had this pop up on my Fordpass and the engine light popped up while driving this AM on my 2020 Raptor 800 miles. over the weekend we put in new intercooler and CAI. Below is screenshot of fordpass notification. Any help be appreciated.

Double check your install, sounds like you might have an air leak somewhere. Which intercooler and CAI? Still using stock BOV?

Both CAI and IC are Shelby (Whipple) parts. Yes, stock BOV.

Possible air leak at CAI or intercooler. Might be the stock tune is being a little picky about the increased air (doubtful). The tune will sense an air leak and throw the code you are receiving.

double checked installation. Doesn’t get any tighter. Any downside running Forscan checking DTC? Perhaps use Forscan to reset?

Resetting the code would probably be ok. If it doesn't come back, I'd forget about it (probably threw the code as it was re-learning the new CAI flow). If it does come back you might try disconnecting the battery for an hour, think this resets the ECU.

EDIT: FordTechOne is the guru here, I'd listen to him....

Hey FordTechOne, just ran Forscan and results I am getting are:
P04DB and U0146
I installed the Whipple CAI but have not used the Tomahawk Tuner provided by Whipple because my understanding I cannot flash back to stock tune. I am waiting for MPT nGauge to come in.
Also put on new wheels/tires.

I had this exact same problem 3 times and have done a bunch of digging on it, here's what I've found:

P04DB shows up for me during extended normal highway driving. Once the DTC is triggered, Fordpass shows the 'regulatory' malfunction. On forscan it will show P04DB sometimes accompanyied by additional DTCs as it is for you.

Essentially the CAI is letting by too much air that the mass air flow sensor reads as a leak in the system and triggers the DTC.

You can safely reset the CEI on forscan and continue driving the truck. I would check your intake tubing to make sure that the sensor is fully seated and whatever gromet/o-ring has a nice seal on it.

This is such an issue that aFe Power offers a specific tube to insert down the intake towards the sensor to eliminate that problem. I've had that recommended to me my the great guys at JLT performance as they also regularly see P04DB on non-tuned trucks with a CAI.

Additionally, a tune will likely stop P04DB as the tune is going to factor in additional airflow.

Have no choice but tune. Waiting for MPT tuner to be delivered. What a kick in the balls...
