If most were honest, they've never been truly satisfied with the eco **** engine. Now, with the TRX and the next Raptor both having blown V8's, your appetite can be satiated.

Not everyone is as obsessed with a V8 as you. As the instructors at RA said, the 3.6 has more torque, more HP, higher fuel efficiency and is lighter than the V8 in the Gen 1’s. I am slightly concerned about how long it will last but I don’t think I will keep my Raptor long enough to care if it sees 250k miles.

Dodge has done there jobs. The simple minded “HP is all that counts” boys are flocking to the TRX!

Occasionally, yes I do. Mainly to see some news about the Gen III V8. RA instructors are paid to say what they say. What you think they'll say when the 5.2 is in the Gen III? They'll say it has ____% more power than the Gen II.

I did the GT350 day and they said that the 5.2 FPC in the GT350 was more reliable than the B302. That has turned out to be utter ******** as the 5.2 FPC is known for having all kinds of problems.

So are they wrong? Does the 3.5 not have more power, more torque, less weight and higher MPG’s? This is a fact and it’s true regardless of who says it.

Also, what evidence do you have that the hellcat engines are more durable?

Just that I haven't heard much about problems with it. The 3.5 ? Well you have wealth of info here and elsewhere.
So you’re saying it’s an unknown that you’re just hoping is better than the 3.5? Just trying to understand your theory here...

Cool, then why do Toyota Tacoma's hold their resale when the Chevy Colorado and Ford Ranger are out and objectively the better vehicle? How does the resale of a used vehicle get affected when the new replacement w/ dealer markup is out of reach for many?

Sorry you sold your truck too early.

Because neither are, and I think you know that. American mini trucks have been crap and continue to be.

Where is your data to show that people are “dishonest” and aren’t satisfied with the EcoBoost? You don’t have any, your statements are baseless and just plain ridiculous. The EcoBoost provides the best of both worlds in terms of power and fuel economy. Most people don’t want a daily driver with single digit MPGs. The sales numbers tell the story, and is the opposite of your conspiracy theory.

As far as Gen 2 resale value, once again more baseless speculation. Hate to break it to you, but the Gen 3 Raptor will still be an EcoBoost. If there’s a V8, it will be optional and will have a $100k price tag. Clearly you’re here to troll, not to add any value to the conversation. Get a life.
