Need help with aux lighting

Can someone please recommend an under tailgate light (preferably sequential ) for my 2018 raptor. I have the built in step in the tailgate and have heard that some lights won’t fit across because of that

Have you thought of led strips under the tailgate? It mounts to the box between the tailgate and rear bumper.

I honestly thought that’s what he’s asking about but can’t for the life of me figure out how the tailgate step affects that area.

I have been told that those tailgates with the built in step have a hinge or some other obstruction that prevents a full length tailgate bar from going across.
Would like someone with my exact set up to let me know what make and size unit you have used . I do plan to connect wires to taillight wires to avoid trailer issues but am wondering if that messes up the sensor for cross traffic.
Any help, suggestion or info would be appreciated

Somewhere else there was mention of this on the forum, I will try to find it but I think it had something to do with a extra support for the tailgates with the step.

It's going to drive me crazy until I or someone else finds it, lol

I also found out two other things, there are a ton of new takeoff tailgates for sale on ebay and if you want to buy a Flex Step by itself they sell anywhere from $800-$1300 on ebay.
Definitely worth getting it as an option for what it costs

I had stumbled upon that when I was thinking about getting a tailgate with a step built in and then the sticker shock hit me.

Yup, those are the bolts I am talking about on the tailgates with the built in step. A 60” under tailgate light won’t fit flush across.
I want to know what product (make model and size ) I can use to avoid that problem please. Surely someone on the forum has done this

I have the tailgate step and a putco blade 60”. No problem. There are some little offsets so the blade isn’t completely flush.
