Does anyone have an Icon Impact Bumper with a 40” light bar in the center section? If so is it a flat or curved bar?

I bought the bumper and skid with a 40” Rigid Radiance flat bar and 4 Rigid Radiance pod lights. Got it all in today and I mounted up the pod lights on the wings and moved on to the light bar and the mounts don’t light up with the holes on the bumper. Not even close.

I’ve found a few different conflicting descriptions online saying the bumper will accommodate 40” light bars in the center section. Then I’ve seen where it says curved bars or similar size. There was no directions in the box with the bumper and skid. I downloaded the directions from Icon’s site, but they’re for installing the bumper really doesn’t say anything about the light mounts besides “install lights before mounting bumper”.

Thanks

Actually the website tells you exactly what light bar to get, and then tells you an alternative since there are cheaper solutions. It needs to be a CURVED bar. Personally I would go with a Baja Design Arc as I have the Racer Edition. Those Radiance lights are not very bright nor does Rigid advertise it as. You want something that is going to go a longer distance. Unless you have this more for show n’ tell to merely fill the space?

Center Section Lighting Options: KC Hilites Pro6 LED Bar (6 light configuration or 7 light configuration with ICON part # 95155) or 40" C-Series Curved Bar

Center Section Lighting Options: Baja Designs ONYX6 ARC 40" Curved Bar

Center Section Lighting Options: Other similarly sized & mounted lights

Yes other similarly sized and mounted lights. To me that means most 40” light bars. Since the radiance shares the same footprint of the E Series lights id imagine it would work. Guess not.

Similarly sized and mounted as in above. Has to be curved as you can see in the samples they provided.

What FRF vendor did you work with on your order? They should of guided you in the right direction.

Off-road Alliance, they are running a deal for the bumper and skid for $1499 and you get a free KC C series 40” bar (flat) since the bar was free and costs $505 I asked if I could upgrade to the Radiance for the amber backlight to match my pods. Had I not got the bar for practically for free I probably would have went with something else. When I bought my truck it came with the ADD Race Chase Rack with a 50” Radiance already installed and you’re correct they’re not very bright at all.

They should of been offering this one:

If I was you, I would talk to them and get what you purchased sent back for something that will work. Not pointing fingers but a vendor who specializes in Raptors should take care of you if it was their sale to make sure you got a solution, not just parts.

Got the bumper finally mounted up last night. There is no way possible that a flat light would fit even if I drilled holes for the flat bar mounts. The bar hits the grill. Definitely need a curved bar.

I really don’t want to go through the hassle of sending the bar back. Will probably sell locally and either buy a curved or just leave it alone.

See told you that just talking with them will get you taken care of. All the vendors here on FRF are great to work with.

I've had my eyes on this bumper now for the last week. Great to see it on another white raptor (at least aside from the pics on their site with the horrible KC lights). Looks awesome. How do you feel about it? (Aside from light bar troubles)
