I have the ESP and the extended warranty and am now concerned about the shocks being serviced and who would be paying for it. If Fox won't service the shocks if it is still under factory warranty, then would a Ford tech be qualified to service or rebuild them? Perhaps, FordTechOne can help with this answer.

I wouldn’t be super worried about it. I’ve rebuilt fox and sway away shocks before, it’s not rocket science. Some shocks use specialty fittings or tools to force you to send them in for rebuild. Forged offroad charges $689 plus the ride for all 4 or they have an exchange program. I figure rebuild time might be a good upgrade time.

I used Shocks by Hammer’s exchange program and was happy with their work. I sent in pictures of my shocks so they were able to closely match the condition of the shocks that sent me. I had the schrader valves installed on them so I can add nitrogen if I need to. With shipping it was $855. They answered all my questions about the install and made sure I was happy with the shocks I received.

Don't foeget to include the cost to remove your shocks for the rebuild. About $600-$750, then the shock rebuild. Glad I kept my old shocks. Took 29 days to get my rebuilt shocks back!

There is no shock rebuild procedure in the Workshop Manual. If your shocks are covered by the factory or an extended warranty and it is determined that a shock has failed, the dealer will replace the shock as a unit.

I just spoke with him on the phone. Super nice guy. He doesn’t have any exchanges for the live valves but he plans on it as the demand rises.

I’ll most likely be bringing my truck to him when I’m due as it’s only 250 miles from me.

Has anyone gotten the Ford dealer to replace worn shocks under warranty as a maintenance item?

I have three pre-paid services left. Has anyone convinced the dealer to service them according to Fox’s recommended interval? I don’t see any recommended service interval from Ford.
