But why not just turn your GEN2 into a built raptor like the ones you saw at Texplex instead of getting rid of it?

With enough suspension mods, you can make a GEN2 just as off-road capable as a built GEN1

Maybe because he doesn't like the V6 sound as well as it being a massive flush of cash? "fully built out gen 1s just ripping it up and sounding amazing."

You can do all the same suspension stuff to a Gen 2, but it will never sound amazing- unless you put a V8 in it too.

You guys see the MACH E 1400 nonsense with Gitton Jr and Ken Block that came out a few days ago? After 5 minutes of the electric motor squealing sound, the twin turbo V8 Mustang sounded ab-so-lutley ******* glorious.

The wonderful sounds begin at 12:00 into the vid.

Saw your build website... How do you like the roush supercharger?

Love it. I bought it with the supercharger already on there so I don't know the difference between stock vs. supercharged, but it will pull in 6th gear going up a mountain pass at 65 mph. The only down side is the intercooler blocks all the airflow to the tranny cooler, so I have to back off after awhile of aggressive on/off road driving to let the tranny temp go down. I'm currently trying to figure out how to solve for that.
