Just do the outside of the box. Don't put anything in the port at the bottom.

You hooked your tweeters directly to the stock tweeter wiring? No crossover or anything in between? If so that is NOT good. The stock tweeters have a capacitor inline with them which acts as a bass blocker. So unless your tweeters can handle full range (I highly doubt this) or you got something else going on there you run the risk of blowing them up.

No I have a cap inline with the new tweets, the new tweets r 6 ohm ,I’m blocking everything below 3000 hz , with a 6 dB roll off I think lol ( I do hvac not stereos). with a 8.8 cap . Stock cap is 7.7 I measured . For the sub , Dynomat?

I hear a pretty good improvement in clarity with the new fronts . If I could improve the bass tightness I would pro be pretty happy , I’m 43 I don’t need it to crank anymore. I know sound is subjective

I'd use whatever is cheep off of Amazon for the sub box. just throw a couple of layers on it and you're good. You don't need anything fancy.

Another good way to get some improved bass would be to deaden and seal your front doors. I would use better material here. You don't need to go super crazy with it but it helps a LOT. I usually do like 1 layer for most of the door and around 3 layers directly behind the speaker. If you get some window access covers from like @Hush Car Audio to seal up those holes along with the sound deadening you will get a good amount of mid bass from that alone.

Well be careful with some of that stuff from Amazon as it smells terrible and will melt and the butyl will run down the surfaces. Many people have had this happen when buying the really cheap stuff. I sell Second Skin Audio deadening products. They don't smell, made in the USA, freshly made which means good adhesion, and not overly priced. I've used a ton of brands out there and always come back to Second Skin stuff.
As for my door covers, the midbass in improved so much that your pants should start to vibrate a little from the door speakers after installation. They also reduce the outside noise by blocking the massive holes in the doors.
