Please take pics of the 2 bolts where the lower portion of the bumper attaches.

Thank you!

In case they haven't been posted before, here are the steering rack bolts that need to be removed to install the SVC baja flush bolt on bumper. Absolutely awful to remove, and even worse to re-install. Would not want to deal with these ever again. 20 years of working on cars and these are the most evil bolts ever encountered.

2 different sizes (1 inch, 1 metric head) and crazy high torque requirements which feels like they are going to snap.

LOL! I installed my SVC bolt on yesterday. My 1000 ft pound Milwaukee electric impact would not budge them ... so I got out my breaker bar and they started moving ever so slightly. Not to say that my Milwaukee electric impact did not work at all. I think the high and instant torque def broke the seal of the blue thread lock.

And I agree those bolts are HELL. I did them on my Gen1 one truck also so I knew what I was in for.

BTW .. putting them back was not as bad. And my 24mm and 21mm socket worked so it is interesting that you said 1 bolt is standard.

In the your pic, one head is starting to round off. I assume that was the 1 inch head? I think that was the 21mm for me.

24mm socket felt too loose on the bolt head, 15/16" was a proper fit. Used a 40" breaker bar to install, and it's strange how difficult these bolts are to tighten. Not really a large bolt size, it just feels like trying to tighten into a nut with damaged threads.

There an install instructions thread where I made the same statements about those awful bolts. Couldn’t use impacts at all, and felt like everything would break taking off and installing. Honestly the bumper could just clearance for them and rest against that cross memenber and be just as sturdy for basically anyone not doing a frame cut.

Never had a worse bolt including lifts on 150k mile Michigan trucks or a 72 camamro suspension etc...

one thing you seem to lose with these bumpers is the s2s that are pointed to the side and act as fog lights when you have the factory bumper. any creative ways to get that fog light effect that can be used daily on the road?

Anyone have these with stock setup? No lift or level. Is there a weight savings over stock bumper?

Yes, that's my setup right now. I'll work on getting some pics before putting on the RPG collars and new 35's.

The SVC feels maybe slightly lighter than stock. Wanted to weigh it, but went straight to install.
