Installed decked setup a couple weeks ago and then KHC bed supports yesterday. Decked took forever to install but is nice. KHC fits well with it and no issues. Idk how people say that peeling off the OEM bed liner is easy...took me a lot of work with box cutter and flat head to peel off for the decked brackets and the KHC bed bolts.

What are some good canons? Is there actually a good water hose canon out there? If I have to fire up and bring out a hose from my air compressor as well, it just half defeats the purpose.

I highly recommend a electric power washer for a Chemical Guys foam cannon. Gas ones are overkill and noisy, for under $200 get an electric one and washing is 10 times easier/better.

I got a yanaha that is 5 years old starts on one pull still. A gas one with a cat pump is rebuildable and will last a long long time

I'm not sure i know what "dedicated black ground wire" is. I actually forgot, that I extended the ground from the vehicle side of the 12pin harness and landed it to a battery post.

The connectors I linked to are actually heat shrink and solder all in one. You'll definitely need a heat gun with a shield and create a proper splice before applying the connector. I'm in the AV/IT world so soldering is second nature to me, just didn't doing multiple steps (solder and then heat shrink). If I had 6 accessories to use, I would have done a better job of lacing and spacing my pigtails.
Soldering isn’t really appropriate for vehicles due to vibration. Every wire on a production vehicle is crimped for a reason.

Sure.....as I said in my original post - I could have gone with higher end supplies to fabricate the harness. I didn't particularly feel like ordering all the specialized materials, crimp tools etc. Especially since a don't plan on making one of these again anytime soon.

I much prefer a solder/heat shrink butt splice type connector over some of the materials I've seen used to hook up the aux switches and do upfitting work on vehicles. I've made these before, my last truck had something similar with zero issues over 7yrs/80,000.

I have made tons of harnesses doing the solder crimp and file method, the heat sink connectors that become hot glue gel in the centers will last forever. Repinning harnesses are not fun IMO

I live in the area but have never been on that road. I was thinking of taking the kids up there for some fun/site seeing and a picnic lunch. Do you foresee any issues tackling this on my own (stock 18 SCREW)?

I am stock and did just fine. When you go in to the main split the first section to the left is listed as difficult and I scraped the frame and running boards on the way up a bit. Coming down where that picture was taken would definitely be a bit rough without a spotter. The left side is pretty short before you get to a rock outcrop where you won't want to go any further(pretty sure the trail guides list this area as where the storm drain gulch starts or something like that.)

If you go up to the right at the main split you won't run into anything difficult at all, and there is quite a bit more to explore that direction.

If you've done Pole Hill this one should seem fairly easy other than the drop-down where that picture is from.

I don’t doubt that. My gas PW is good for the house. But the electric one is quiet and plenty powerful for the cars.

What about in the rain, haha -weather looking crappy.
