Ok, so I forgot to come back and update. Sorry. I completed the install on Memorial Day weekend. Everything went pretty smoothly. To recap, prior to that point I had already done the 16 spark plugs (NGK 6510), installed the intercooler assembly, pump, etc. I had also done the wiring at the ECM, and cleaned the fuel injectors.

The disassembly went smoothly, as did the install. I hit a couple of speed bumps. First, there are a couple of things that make this install a total pain in the ass, starting with the fact that you are going to be laying across the engine for many hours. Why so long? Well, first, you have to attach a bubbler hose with pinch clamps from the lower manifold up to the back of the supercharger, blind. It's not easy, and took me a while to get it because I had to do it left handed, laying on the engine, and it's a reach. Plus, there's no room to work between the supercharger and the firewall. Second, and most difficult speed bump is bolting the throttle body elbow to the supercharger, per the instructions. You can barely see the top bolt in the back, so you can get an extension on it, but the lower back bolt was nearly impossible. I was laying on the engine (of course) and tried every combination of extensions and ratchets to try and get to a little bolt head that I could not see or even touch with my finger. Donated one 1/4" ratchet and extension to the top of the transmission. Someday maybe I'll find it. I finally taped some extensions to a 1/4" nut driver, and after about 90 minutes I was able to find it, and tighten it with about 100 1/4 turns.

That was the toughest part BY FAR.

It fired up on the first try, and has run great for a few weeks now. I've been working with Jim over at JDM to tweak the tune a little bit. The best we can get in Vegas is 91 octane, and when it's 110+ outside, it's barely enough.

I have a Snow Performance water/**** injection system that I should be able to install soon, and that will help tremendously with lower intake temps. I'll keep you posted.

-Sean

What wheels are those? I’m loving the look

Hey thanks! I went with Method Mesh wheels, 17", added OMF bash rings with black bolts, and flush center caps from Chief Machining. I sprayed the rings with antrhracite plasti-dip because a lot of the trails are rutted and really rocky out here. I knew that I would "BASH" the hell out of them sooner rather than later. So far I've smashed them twice. I come home, take it off, peel the coating off, hammer it flat, respray it and put it back on.

Looking great so far! I have the same catch can I just installed last week. Finally got my JDM tune and kit for my Roush loaded up and WOW what a difference it made. Love those wheels too. Now it will be like a new truck all over again.

Thanks! How long did you drive with the Roush tune? JDM knows their stuff, and they are nice people to deal with too.

I drove it just over a year on the roush tune. It’s night and day different and for the better. It’s way more responsive and the shifts are on point! I need to get it on the dyno to see the gains. Before with the Roush tune it was putting 451HP to the wheels and 440TQ.
