I just finished my upgrade. I got a screen and APIM on ebay for $300, 12.99 antenna on amazon, 20 for a OBD reader.

Super simple upgrade took maybe an hour. Hardest part was removing the trim around the radio.

Hey Guys are these $500-600 units without GPS? I contacted the guy I am watching on eBay and he also has a $600 version but it doesn't have GPS.

Mine was $300 on ebay. Try to avoid the 'kits' they inflate the prices. Also car-parts.com is a good source. Just verify the part number. I honestly don't use the factory nav because apple car play allows me to use waze. A GPS antenna is required for nav and non nav units. Something to do with the compass and global time.

I read through the thread and it didn't look like there was consensus on this, can anyone confirm if automatic climate control works correctly?

I like to set a temp and let the system ramp up or down to get it there (especially starting during a hot day where it goes full blast then tapers off).

Also I read in the other forums thread that the backup camera was lower quality after the upgrade, especially at night. Has anyone noticed any difference in the camera after upgrading?

Thank you

I bought mine through 4D Tech. Everything works as it should and haven’t noticed any quality issues with the backup camera resolution. I’m sure the guys that have setup there own APIM hasn’t lost anything either.

I bought all my components separately on ebay, climate control and rearview camera are just as good as before. I can't speak for others who had issues, maybe they got their head units from someone selling it because the climate controls and rear camera were already going bad? Or maybe they set some incorrect values in forscan?
