Open mouth, insert foot. I looked a little harder after posting and saw the "Ford Racing Blue" mentioned. Blasphemy huh? Uh oh; I'll keep it on the downlow if I go any other color then...

Finally got my metal 6.2 valve covers from backorder and got the VHT wrinkle blue paint on. Pretty happy with the results but there are areas that didn't wrinkle up even after applying additional coats. As long as they don't start peeling I will be happy with these. Now to find some stud mount ty-wraps.20200521_183740.jpg 20200521_183733.jpg

Where did you order the valve covers from?

I ordered them from Autonation Ford White Bear Lake. BC3Z-6582-G was back ordered for about a month but I think the pair was about 230 with shipping and everything. A little more more than buying some on eBay but these are brand new with new gaskets and bolts. I had a hard time finding decent ones on ebay that were cheap enough to justify not buying new ones.
