Overlanding and Offroading Across the Country

Figured I'd share some images of our trips offroading, overlanding, and exploring in the Raptor. She has been across the country from the Borders South of Tucson, the Rim of the Grand Canyon, to the Misty Mountains in the Carolinas. Plan on tracking the evolution of my setup and snapshots of trips over time here. Please excuse the lowly ZR2 that was my precursor to the Raptor. Thanks. It was real simple to mock up. Installed a spigot for a small collapsible hose and a schrader valve to charge with compressed air. Set it out in the sun and you've got a hot shower or pressurized water for washing dishes.



Also got some new gear! Slowly transitioning all my storage to aluminum cases. Have some custom foam cut to stop gear from rattling. Working on a quick way to mount and remove from the bed of the truck. Waiting for the never ending rain showers currently rolling through Charlotte to get out and put them to use.

Absolutely feel free. It's a relatively easy build and way cheaper than most systems you can buy.

It holds just shy of 4 gallons. I had a larger one made of 6" pipe, but the larger capacity meant it took much longer to heat up in the sun. This one is made of 4" pipe and heats up quick and with the ball valve can be topped off easily with our extra water supply. Pro-tip never carry just one source of water encase your container springs a leak.
