I’m not sure you understand the way an intercooler works or the purpose of it either. If you are sitting in stop and go traffic you are obviously not going to see intake temps 40° less than the factory intercooler. If you pay attention to your IAT it’s not going to rise 42° just from normal driving either. Heat is the enemy for a forced induction motor and if you can lessen the temperature going into your intake it prevents you from losing power.

As an example on a 90° day in small town, USA on who cares blvd the IAT goes from 66° to 107° on a WOT 2nd-5th gear pull starting at 22mph and ending at 84mph.

With the CVF in the same conditions, along the same road, same pull etc... the IAT goes from 66° to 68°

Yes, hence the no brainer for the intercooler. I originally ordered a cobb intercooler but decided to return it as to not raise any flags if I had to go in for warranty work and ordered the CVF. With the numbers the CVF was producing, being mounted in the factory location, and being less than half the cost of the cobb, it was a very easy decision. Many guys on here were praising the performance so that made it easier as well. My experience with CVF so far was excellent. I ordered it in the morning and it shipped out that afternoon. It arrived in great packaging two days later and Jason from CVF sent me a private message on here to thank me for the purchase and let me know he was there for any questions or concerns. So far it was well worth it.

Those that have installed the intercooler- did you also install a Smart BOV? Wondering if it’s worth the extra $300.

I have not installed mine yet but it’s sitting on my bench looking pretty and ready to install. I did not order an aftermarket BOV simply because there is absolutely no performance gain in any way.

I went with Mishimoto Intercooler since I like how its rubber grommets go around plastic shroud of the truck directing air flow straight towards intercooler. CVF Intercooler seems to have almost inch of room between the plastic shroud and its body. No smart BOV for me since it does not provide any gains.

I can live with it being imported from any country except China. That’s a hard no from now on. Fuggem.

I don’t think anyone has gotten the answer to this. Im sure if it was US made it would be widely advertised and stamped.
Luckily its a quality product and so far they seem to back their stuff, but I believe the consensus is that its imported. Possibly by magic .

plenty of stuff made in India, Korea, and other places. China isn’t the exclusive supplier of cheap labor. They just suck the most. As for me I am going forward making a conscious effort to avoid using their filthy products as much as I can.
