Are dealers open to view trucks on lots?

Taking our Escalade in for service tomorrow and there is a Ford dealer close by. Can I at least browse the lot?

I know in PA there is nothing to stop you from browsing, there's just no salespeople around and the showroom is locked down. Probably makes it nicer.

I would, go bang on the window of the service department and wave cash! I at least got my dealer to put my truck inside for the duration of this crap.

Dealers in my area, NY, are closed for anything other than Service, but....a few of them are doing showings / test drives by appointment only, and are offering to complete the sale fully over the phone / e-mail, and deliver to your house free of charge.

So it's worth a shot to just call and see if you can set up a private test drive.

It depends on where you live. Here in Houston, you can still get a car from a dealer, possibly depending on the county you're in.

They will work a deal by phone here and deliver. At least they are all advertising this. You just might score a fantastic deal at this time.

Unless you're worried about cops arresting you for trespassing I don't see what the issue would be open or not. Its a FORD dealer, not a Ferrari dealer lol

My Ford dealer is open, including the interior showroom (not sure about the salespeople as I didn't go looking for mine, just picked up some coolant for the Super Duty)- Champion Ford, Erie, PA.

Well I dropped off the Caddy and went next door to the Ford dealer. Service was open but not a sole around for sales. Not even a look from the windows. And it looked like they hadn't washed their vehicles for 2 months. Not buying from them anyway but did give me a chance to study up close and under without interference.
