Yep. They brought it over to my house anyways so I could take a look at it. Took it for a short test drive. Put it in Sport mode and floored it. Not impressed at all. Put it in Baja mode and floored it, better but not impressive big “Wow” unfortunately. Not that excited about this truck for some reason but need the tax write-off. Glad I am keeping my GEN1, at least something will keep the smile going. A GEN2 isn’t all that, I am sorry to say as I really wanted it to be. Maybe I will have a better outlook on it once I drive it more.

How many performance mods are on your Gen 1? I had a 5-star tune, AFE CAI and true dual exhaust on my Gen 1 SCAB. The first time I drove a Gen 2 SCREW, it felt smoother, faster, and overall more refined. After I added the MPT 93 PRX and other mods, it ran so much better than my Gen 1 that I put it up for sale because it was no longer fun to drive. (Other than the exhaust note...)

Yours was built on March 12, 2020
It's at the top, the number 220200312

^^ yes, that's the build date. Also, on the plate on drivers side door jam, has the date, but only month year, not day.

The two dates vary by a couple days, so what is the date on top, leaves the line date, and one at bottom, start line date?

anyway...

Thanks guys, I had no idea how to read that. I also couldn't tell if the PDF file would post or not. I can't believe my new truck has a recall & I didn't even take delivery yet!

As my Gen 2 is now at 3000 miles , i'm pretty impressed on the stock power took a bit to get used to power band and 10 speeds, I have a Cobb stage 2 tuner waiting to be installed , but have not yet , along with some other mods. This covid19 has me working 80 hour weeks now . It will be a while till i get some mod time in.

The recall just happened though, April 3rd, so it makes sense, they have to by law not sell anything that has an open recall, at least in Colorado and probably other states, if not a federal law - although the language in the recall says "over time", and there's no fix yet, which sucks. Hopefully Ford is on top of it and will be a couple weeks most.

I'm curious why my VIN doesn't show it, maybe a data input lag or something, unless like i said, it's related to build dates only, which the recall has no language about.

Pretty much stock, a pedal commander, Granatelli wires and MBRP turndown exhaust.

A stock 2nd gen is much faster then that. Maybe it doesn’t feel like it to you for some reason, but numbers don’t lie.

Don’t care about the numbers. I sat in it and drove it. This is the 2nd test drive I’ve done, previous one was a 18’. I am not going to go back and forth with you on how much better the GEN2 is, I heard it over and over again, yeah whatever. The GEN wars are what made this forum go to utter crap so really don’t want to go there again on this thread. Most folks who really used their raptor have left and its sad.

I do realize that I brought up how I am not that impressed but it is what it is and what I felt when I took it for a ride. Is it giving me second thoughts?, yeah but I will probably stick with the purchase. My thoughts are I might just keep this on pavement as my daily and hope to trade it in whenever Ford decides to make a raptor with a bigger difference or get the Bronco if that is worth a darn. I will keep my GEN1 to have fun in as its a blast to drive off-road.

Most of those wars wouldn't have started if the gen1 guys weren't trolling the gen2 section.
It was an issue on both sides of the fence. I’ve been around since 13’ and watched it happen. I am familiar with what FRF was and is now.
