So I just installed brand new Fox 2.5” shocks on the front of my truck. Felt really good for first 150 miles and then I noticed a bit of a rattle. So I took a look and the oil is leaking out of the front left already. This is disappointing since I bought new this time because I was not happy that my last rebuild only lasted 20000.

Ha, mine last less then that.

Were did you buy them from,
I bought mine from Ford now I need two new ones for the front and I only have 35,000 miles all street.
This will be the third set.
This time I'm going to send the second set of fronts to Fox and let rebuild and upgrade them.

I bought them off rock auto.
Let me know what happens I have the same issue. I have a clunk from my brand new one I received from them. I’ve checked everything and even replaced my upper controls arms because they did have play. Clunk is still there.

This is disappointing. Are fox losing quality or are these problems few and far between?

The stock replacements I have are doing fine, even after offroading as well as a 3k mile road trip.

What did you torque the lower shock bolt to?

What kind of warranty do they offer? I am at 42k on originals. Just curious. Hopefully they will help out with labor and parts. Mine are still fine, only a few off-road romps though.

Likewise... also thought about ordering them from Tasca even though they’re higher, my theory is that maybe they’d be newer and haven’t been sitting on the shelf as long. I’ve heard storing these things is hard on the seals as the oil isn’t flowing.
