The 2019s that I am looking at are new. Never titled. Yes it is a year old or so. I don't think there is really any noticeable difference between the 2019 and the 2020. There is kind of a mileage trade off with the 2019 in that it will be a year less miles driven which will should be reflected in any ongoing value of the truck. $10K off the sticker seems pretty good, would prefer it to be lower but it is lower than what I will get on a 2020 around here. This is a big 4x4 truck area. I just do not have the time to go searching and traveling the country to find a huge deal.

I told the finance guy at the dealership that if I buy a warranty and/or a ford care plan, I would do it through flood ford. He told me that the care plans only work at the dealer that they are purchased at. I have doubts about the veracity of that statement.

SO, I just experienced my first oil change at a dealer other than where I purchased the truck. They did the normal oil and filter and checked brake pads a tire tread depth, like normal. All at no charge.Where I bought the truck, they top off all fluids, change air filter and cabin filter, replace wipers, rotate the tires, the whole shi-bang. All at no charge.

i am in OR,had to buy it in Missouri,got 9k off.July 2019
west coast dealer ship to Asia so they tend to wait to put price down.
another plus is your warranty start the day of sales (i believe)
go with a check (if you can) and squeeze them for a 2019!
where i leave:
MSRP:
$73,670
Trade-In Assist Discount
$2,500
Your Price:
$71,170
Total Savings:
$2,500
always look at the windows sticker for real price.
for the warranty you have 3 years ,plenty of time.
a lot of post in forum for warranty.
i just love this truck.......

What an arrogant, ignorant statement! I'd get up and leave that dealership pronto. Bet their service department doesn't lie either!

I have no intention of getting it serviced there. It is too far away to be convenient for me. There is a Ford dealer much closer that seems better but they aren't doing anything with pricing. I've been negotiation online and on the phone. I wont even have to set foot in that dealership.

I bought an FJ Cruiser in 2007 from a dealership that was on the Costco plan. Got a decent deal. When I called to schedule my first service, they told me that they would have to replace the spark plugs as part of the service. They wouldn't budge when I told them that wasn't in the maintenance manual and I would only do the Toyota recommended service. I took it to another dealer for service and it has never been back to the original dealer. Dealers make a lot more on service than sales. I can be very vindictive when it comes to service.

I also turned down all of their extras, even GAP. I can get that for $7/mo through my auto insurance. Much better deal.

I sill don't understand 37 2019s and 16 2020s. It just doesn't make sense to have that much inventory of a specialty vehicle that is fairly slow moving due to their prices.

He who doth control the Raptor, doth control the World.

If they buy up all the Raptors at discounted rates the cheaper dealers let them go for, they probably will trade them back to other dealers for something really nice, when the other dealer "has" to have a Raptor for a buyer. Or they use them to trade for spec'd out Tremor or Mustang, they don't have, when a buyer walks in to their dealership. I assure you, they are in the business of making money. They gotta pay inventory tax and whatnot. There is a method to the madness.

Not to mention, there are probably dopes that walk in with FU money, or habitually upside down on car loans, that probably are willing to pay the asking price.

When I was purchasing my Raptor, I decided I'd try the Costco route, I built the Raptor out on Costco Auto site, hit enter and within 2 minutes I had a dealer in Colorado Springs (Phil Long Ford), calling me. He started with the usual a-hole sales BS, "we put all this stuff on the trucks (like fast blink brake lights) blah blah..." basically he wanted MSRP on a 2020.

I got mine at another dealer for $7K off MSRP, which wasn't bad I thought.

Phil Long in Cosprings had 99 Raptors on the lot, the dealer I bought mine at had 5.

I really hate the car buying process, but I was actually in and out of the Dealer in 3 hours on a Saturday.

I am currently in the market for a Raptor. There is a dealer in the Seattle area that has 37 2019s and 16 2020s on their lot. Seriously. I don't understand the thinking that they need to have so many especially the 2019s. They aren't gold and wont appreciate in value. Supposedly they bought up a lot of Raptors from other parts of the country and shipped them here. They aren't exactly selling them at doorbuster prices either.

I am negotiating on a 2019 Raptor that has a sticker for $77k and they are selling for $67K. The dealers around here are holding on to their 2019s price wise like a vice.

Thoughts?

thoughts are don't buy new. let one of these guys with money to blow take the appreciation hit.

find a babied truck a few years old for way less than new.

shit. by getting one 3 years old i saved about 22k easy

10 million people will be on unemployment shortly. bet there will be some sweet ass used deals real real soon.
