Do you prefer lifted or stock Gen2 Raptor?

Stock tires, the Methods are 1/2 an inch narrower, so the tires bulge out a little bit.

Just curious if there is a general preference one way or the other. I assume Gen2 owners can certainly afford to spend some extra $$ to lift and add bigger tires, if desired. I prefer stock. I put on decent miles, about 30k/year, and absolutely love the ride and comfort, stock. Like no other vehicle I have driven, the list is long and varied.

I don't think I would ever lift mine, or even put bigger/wider rims/tires on. I do really like the way the 20" rims look in some of the posts here. Alas, there are no C load rated tires other than the stock Bfg's in any size close to stock, as far as I know. I tried some E rated Continentals (street tread) in the stock size, the ride was horrendous. I had to air down to low 20's to get the ride comfort of the stock BFG's at mid 30's. They came off the truck after a month.

I know some people have said it rides the same with 20's or stock 17's, leveled in front, etc. I have a hard time buying that.

Change my mind.

Leveling or lifting? Each has drawbacks and subjective advantages. Leveling doesn't look any better imho and will effect how it sits if you tow. Lifting is a whole other ballpark. You can't lift it without doing a lot of work unless you don't care about preserving off road capability. To properly lift a Raptor and be able to keep/improve off road capability you'll be into it 10-20k.maybe less if you do all the work yourself. Running larger tiresincreases unsprung weight and places additional strain on components unless set up specifically for the increased size. Mall crawlers are a completely different story...you can get away with a lot of you don't care about your suspension or the ability to off road....or looks for that matter...lol

It looks like you are running Method NVs and they are the same size as stock >> 17x8.5. The only difference is offset where NVs are 0 offset and oem is +34.

I did mine with stock size wheels and tires. Added a leaf spring in the rear and rpg collars in front. Lifted about 2 1/2 inches.

My mistake, you are correct on the sizes. I don’t remember the tires looking like that on the stock wheels.

0 offset means your wheels are pushed out 1.3 inches more when compared to oem offset. This gives the illusion that the tires are bigger.

Thank you, I understand offset. I think maybe the tires look different on these rims because the stock rims(centers/spokes) stick out a little and these are dished.

I personally hate the raked OEM setup and like lifted trucks. All my previous 4x4's have been lifted, but on a Raptor, it just doesn't look right and ruins the Baja proven
performance that Ford built into the Raptor to begin with. HOWEVER, since I hated the rake, I leveled mine and would not have it any other way........the ride is excellent,
even better than the wife's Yukon 4x4 Denali.....and performed like a champ in Moab!

How must does leveling raise the truck? Does it allow enough room for 37's? What is your wheel/tire set up? Looks great. Thanks

I have the 1.75" front collars installed and I think it makes this truck sit perfect. Cant stand the raked look, but not a fan of big lifted trucks either.

Has such mean lines and stance OEM, you dont need much!!!
