So in my brief time here I have been amazed buy the amount information that is available for us upcoming Raptor owners. My question here is as follows; there seems to be about 7 million mods that are available for Raptor upgrades. Is there a thread or place where someone has listed the most popular mods for the interior, exterior and engine/brakes/suspension?

It just seems everyday I find a couple of other items I never knew that I needed. My budget for everything is currently at $140k.........and it's not even a Shelby!

Not sure what you’re shooting for but that’s way more than what you “need” to spend to significantly upgrade a gen 2 raptor.

leaving out performance upgrades that seem negligible or low on bang for buck pole (like CAI, turbo adapters, etc)

tune
Intercooler
Downpipes
Lighting upgrades for upfitters
Tonneau cover
Bed storage/tool boxes
Pro-eagle jack if off-roading
Adjustable aftermarket shocks (king/fox)
Aftermarket wheels
37” tires
Aftermarket bumpers
Winch
PPF
Subwoofer/speaker upgrades
Forscan adjustments

seems like these are some of the most common & most widely accepted mods that don’t seem to come w/ buyers remorse

Personally tho? if I had a $140k budget for an offroad vehicle it wouldn’t be a raptor it’d be a sick ass custom resto-mod based off a K2 blazer or older bronco or older truck & go nuts. Forget $140k- you could knock a gen 2 raptor outta the park in EVERY category w/ a well done restomod for probably 1/2 that

OK, so I have to say I was kidding with the $140k amount. Would like to keep mods at $10-20k.

Darn it! I was going to ask if the $140K included the cost of the truck... ;)

You can do a lot for $20K. MPT Tunes, Full Race IC, exhaust, SPD TAs, e-BOV, 170 t-stat, colder spark plugs, Geisers, Deaver +3s, RPG bump stops, Toyo RT 37s, Fuel Trophy’s, custom bumpers, BD lights (lots of them), ceramic tint, Baller Roof, Stinger Hood, Bakflip F1, Bedrug and you will have change to spare.

Ask me how I know.

Wow, so you know your post will spawn quite a few questions. Are you ok with that? Oh, and thanks!

It just seems everyday I find a couple of other items I never knew that I needed. My budget for everything is currently at $140k.........and it's not even a Shelby!

I’m only 4 months in and about 6k added onto a 19 802A. But there is NO list of mods you should get. The only list of mods is the one you decide on. You’re definitely in the right place!

If you want performance, you can go little or big or anywhere in between. You want to upgrade your turbos, $4200 at gear head just for that one upgrade. But you can do some serious performance damage for a lot less (IC, CAI, tune/port, high flow turbo exhaust adapters, turbo tubes, and down pipes would cost you less than just the turbo upgrade and you’d have a performance beast).

You might want a taller ride with 37’s... lots of discussion on that here. Or maybe just get the Eibachs and call it a day. And the suspension...geez, are you happy with the fox’s? You want some beastly brakes front n back (5-6k)? or you can just paint your calipers for $37.

And lighting...you can go conservative or crazy. Totally personal. You can easily spend 3-4K (or more) on lights if not careful.

Exterior and interior bling... too many options to list

Bumpers? You can spend a pretty penny with the likes of Addictive Desert Designs front n back....(and the lights to go with em)... and recovery...do you need a winch? Maybe a couple grand then all the recovery gear...better plan on 3-4K...

Protection....maybe PPF and or Ceramic coating... if you go crazy, can set you back several grand

Wow, maybe B n O isn’t enough... seen some amazing stuff being upgraded on the stereo front.

And I’m sure I’m missing most of what you could do.

Just have fun, make it YOUR own. With up to 20k, you can do something special. But you could easily go to 30 or more if you get carried away.

Spend a bunch of time going through these posts and figure out what you want and just do it!

PS. I’m kinda “meh” on the Shelby Raptor. Stance looks a little tall for the width. Obviously that’s personal...but the stock Raptor I think just looks better. Plus...what do you do with it. So much potential in our Raptors...like a blank slate. All you have to do is look through these forums and literally see the sheer artistry and variety that can be yours.

As I mentioned in another post, take a look at my build thread to see what I did for less than $20K.
