I have had the Nationals, Deavers SD, HD and custom HD.
Deavers are better than Nationals, IMHO
I didn't feel much of a difference between Deavers, all are +2s
I going to have to try the Icons at some point.

I'm embarrassed to say I've spent way more money on suspension components than I should have, but hind sight is 20/20. Everyone's ass and feel are different. I read all the reviews and threads and went one way on suspension. Didn't like it and decided to change. It's been a few days, but what I can remember Deavers +2 SD were more planted with higher/stiffer spring rate over stock. By all means nothing like a 1/2 ton, but you will feel the bumps in the road. The Icons have a softer ride. I'm not running the add -a-leaf so I would put them between stock and Deavers on spring rate.

Is that with the same shocks on both sets of springs? I had Icons on my Tacoma and they weren't bad, but anything was better than stock...

No and that might have been the issue from the start. Started out with Deavers and immediately put Icon 3.0’s on. Way too stiff for my liking and in hind sight was a poor purchase on my part. I would use stock or Fox 3.0’s with Deavers. Fox has a softer ride zone in the middle. Coupled with the spring rate of the Deavers, I think they would play together better. I’m just speaking from speculation as I never tried Deavers and Fox. My current setup is Icon leafs with Fox 3.0’s all around. Still well planted, but I don’t feel every bump in the road.

I am running FOX 3.0 DSC with Deaver +3 (not HD)
The ride is smoother, way less kick and bounce out back then when running a stock set-up. I ran 3.0 on stock leaf pack for a bit, and the single biggest improvement was the Deavers.

Also, you did not mention tire size or type. I have played around with several different combo's and the tire size/pressure can make a significant difference in the way the truck feels. I know here in TX people gravitate to the Toyo M/T... Great tire for the Super Duty folks, ruins the ride in a Raptor... Its heavy, its stiff, and its loud. I've had them, had the stock K02, a 37 inch K02 and now a 37 KM3. The 37 K02 and KM3 have been the best IMO. I run mine at 32 psi on the street, air down playing off road.

Well the tires and wheels is another issue im changing. So.....before i had a work truck, my Raptor was strictly a street king, never off roaded. Changed jobs so now i have to use it which not a big deal, lol. But i currently have 20” wheels and 35” tires. Not much cushion at all. And literally 2 days ago i ran through a big ass pothole and bent both my wheels on the passenger side. (Live and learn) So that major issue im fixing and my next upgrade gonna do it all at once to be done with it lol.

Yup... Stay 17 on a 35.
You buying aftermarket or looking for stock wheels?
Saw a bunch of 18-19 take-off's on Craigslist pretty cheap.

Luckily i kept my stock wheels for a rainy day, and that rainy day has arrived lol. And already found some KO2 35’s to go with it. Might go shopping around for some after market 18’s before i buy tires though. Maybe that stimulus check will come in handy after all

As is mentioned elsewhere in this thread your better off to stay at 17". Unless your going bigger on brakes there is no performance advantage in an 18".

Well i have an EBC brake setup on the wishlist....do you know if that requires a bigger wheel?
