Looking to get some rigid 360 6” For a hood hinge mount. Are they to much for a hood mount, size, noise, visibility etc. I found the lights on Amazon for $519 but no harness or brackets. Lots of shops on here just not sure if it’s all the same stuff or is there something I should be looking out for or avoiding? Has anyone ran these up there and do you recommend it? To many trips to the desert with two many oh shit moments so I need To see.

Can’t give you a recommendation on the hood hinge mount, but I’d considered doing the same thing but was leaning toward the Baja Designs LP4 (or the LP6 but I think too big for the location). A bit spendy but a badass and great looking light that I think goes better with Matte black on the Raptors. Just my 2c.

Specialty Performance Parts is coming out with an A pillar mount...should be out in a week. They’re pretty dialed into the raptors. See the posting on “New Rigid 360 series” lights next to this one.

In my opinion, 6" lights are just too big for hood mounts. They block a lot of visibility and they look goofy.

I'd mount either the 4" version up there, or go with another option like the Rigid D-SS lights.

We can also do other lights up there like the Baja Designs LP4 or Baja Designs XL80.

We carry them all here at Apollo Optics and can set you up with lights, mounts, and wiring. And we'll match or beat any Amazon price you find out there as well. Let me know if we can help.

I agree with most, the 6” will be large. You can get away with them on our upcoming A-Pillar Mounts, but they will definitely stick out.

The 4” is probably the best applicyover the hood area.

Now in front of the bumper, with our bumper mount, I would think you could use them and 4” together. I will be posting and updated install video of that. In the mean time to understand what I am talking about, I am putting a pic of the mounts with Baja Designs LP6’s below. The 360’s will look cooler though.

I think the LP series is the best looking single lights out there! They just look gnarly and put out a ton of light for their size. Seen the LP4’s on A pillar mounts and think that’s as big as you can go.

Is there a way to relocate your front camera? Pretty blocked by center light. Suppose it’s a trade off.

We may work on a relocation kit at some point, but you could also leave the middle light out.

I think that Addictive Desert Designs has a camera relocation kit they sell with some of their bumpers. Wonder if it can be purchased separately or licensed by you guys as a separate item. Unless you’re putting the BD S8 behind grill light in, could be relocated up. That’s what I think the ADD kit does.

Every time someone shows a pic of a front bumper mounted light, the first 5-6 posts after that seem to be inquiring about the amount of encroachment on the camera field of view.

No brainer money maker in my mind.

My bad...I should have researched before I spoke. But geez, $265 to relocate camera... Seems excessive and I’ll bet someone could and should build a better mousetrap.

That is actually the bracket designed by ADD to relocate the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) sensor. For those that have ACC and are installing an aftermarket front bumper, you need to relocate the sensor up and behind the grille.

Spoke to Paul over at Swarfworks and he is still working on his front camera relocation kit (picture attached for reference). He does not have an ETA at this time partly due to the forced business closure in his state.

Please buy from one of our fine supporting vendors here. Amazon is ok for some stuff, but, there is way too much counterfeiting going on there and they’re not doing enough about it. You could end up with brand new stuff, refurbished stuff, fake stuff or who knows ... and if you do have a problem our guys/gals here on FRF will work with you.

Look at the responses in this thread, or, many more like it. You can ask these guys what will work, what won’t work, grouse about it with other FRF members - you’re not getting anything like that on amazon.
