I see there seem to be some options online such as ruffland where they have two medium to large size crates back to back and they fit in the backseat of the F150 with the seats folded down. We have a female and male Doberman… About 70 pounds and 80 pounds… They are tall dogs but they also curl up very compact… Anybody have any recommendations for back to back crates in the rear seat for two dogs

Why not just let them chill in the back? Do they have to be in crates? My 90 lb dog just curls up on the floor on a blanket. Granted I have three car seats in the back, but...

Crates are safer. There are two dog sometimes they squabble . We can pack other luggage on top of the crates. They don’t scratch the interior. We can leave in with the windows cracked and go shopping, They can’t try to jump out the window and eat some one. Dobermans are really high drive and energy . They ride great, six hours , in a crate.

I used Pcv pipe to make a frame, then put plywood on the top. My dogs beds go on that. I made the frame one piece, it goes right in with the rear seats folded up. I can then put cargo underneath.

My guys are little so this may not work for you.

I have one Ruffland intermediate kennel in the back with the seat folded up. There is not room for another back there. With the kennel in the back, I can only use the small rear passenger seat.

I think it would be hard to find two crates that will fit back to back. I fit a Large Petmate in there with the seats up but another won't fit on the other side. This Large is also barely big enough for my 55lb Malinois. The Ruffland ones are the best I've seen for compact spaces and if Winchester30 says no-go then maybe look at custom aluminum options.
