IC fans??

The only concern I would have would be 8+ hours of idle time with ac on in the summer.

While I don't think a 3inch thick intercooler will effect cooling it is something I would consider if I were in your position.

Here in AZ for example, you'll see cops running traffic lights and they have the hood propped open to let the heat out.

I'm not mechanically-inclined but unless you live in northern Canada climates, I wouldn't ever remove a fan. That feels like the opposite of evolution.

Turbo safety would not be changed with the relocated intercooler, as the intercooler is located after the turbo in the air path into the engine regardless of whether its in the stock location or behind the grille. So, the turbos really aren't seeing any change in operation at idle. Plus, the stock radiator fan setup is pretty powerful and can really move some air, so whenever the rad. fan activates based on coolant temp., you'll get some air movement over the intercooler too that will help to drop charge air temperatures.

Maybe re read that ^^. Intercoolers typically don't have fans on them, in fact, the Raptor is the only vehicle that I know of that has fans on the IC. The reason for this is because the stock location is behind the front license plate and it doesn't get enough airflow even when moving. An FMIC gets tons of air and when idle, the radiator fan(s) will pull air through the FMIC.

But removing cooling hasn't ever been positive, meetlet alone when the manufacturer has bolted fans on.
