Crutchfield is wrong. Critchfields “compatibility checker” is not very accurate in the majority of cases. It’s a 25mm tweeter. That’s the same size tweeter as the stock tweeter. Source, I and hundreds of other people have fit them in the stock locations with zero modification.
How are you mounting the morel tempo ultra tweeters? There are no mounting tabs. Just to be sure, you said we should use the morel crossover also 68d0d27ac42cebe68bd684e96a79266f.jpgcorrect?

Made a strap and got it done. I have a 2018 with the B&O system and have to say everything has improved with the Morel Tempo Ultra install. I used a ton of second skin on the inner outer door skin, inside door skin, covered the entire see through vinyl cover for the door opening, Tesa Tape on the clips to prevent rattles, and used the foam tubes with foam pad behind the mid drivers. The crossover did fit in the cubby like you guys said. Definitely worth the upgrade. Got rid of all the stupid door rattles, tightened up the bass, better highs and imaging, better vocals everything is much better. Not going to bother with the rear doors and turned off surround sound so the center channel is off.

For the 2018+ I don’t believe you can use speaker level inputs ( @goblues38 or @dhmcfadin can better speak to the sub setup for the 2018+)

If you have the little B&O tab on the front center dash grill, you have to buy the ZEN A2B and put it in line before your amp.

there is no place to grab full range speaker level inputs.

And that is before i go into my rant...again....why jigh level (speaker level) inputs are bad in every way.

rread about my build here.

I don’t like speaker level either. But I first want to upgrade the sub, before I work on the rest of the system. I was going to temporarily grab the hi levels coming out of the B&O amp for this. And later utilize a Zen for the system makeover.

Your saying there is no way to find any hi levels in the back?

correct...it is a waste of time......the B&O system has a bass management that rolls off any low frequencies as the volume is turned up. The B&O amp is so under powered, any time you add volume, it clips the speakers. so they just take away bass as volume goes up to keep from blowing up speakers and having a ton of warranty work for blown speakers.

So you could (ignore the fact that high level is bad for a moment) take the only stereo full signal which is the rear door speakers and use that to drive the input on a new sub amp. But as soon as you turn the volume up (past 10) the low frequencies start to roll off. your fancy new amp and sub will be playing very little because the factory B&O is essentially, turning the volume down on your new amp.

You have to do it all, or not do it. Sorry...it is just what we are dealing with on the B&O system.

Dont over think it. Something simple like this is all that is needed. I used stiff cardboard and hot glue.

I wanna hear your rant about the problem with high-level on factory non-amplified trucks.

Here goes another war lol.....Anyway I thought forscanning the option for using aftermarket sub turns off that low frequency roll off to the sub anyway. And I can pickup hi levs in full at this point. But again temporarily until I do the full makeover.

Now since we don’t have proof but maybe only by listening as we make the change, no one can confirm this option change does actually work. I think it did add more high volume bass or roll off less I should say.
