How do you guys remove this thing?

I unhooked it. Connected stock wire.
Turned on car.
Got the christmas-lights of warnings.
No ESC. No hill mode. No I dont know what.

Turned it off and on again.

Same thing.

Drove for 60 feet.

Turned off and on again. This time only the check engine light.

It wont go away!

Really frustrating.

Yes, pull the code.

installing is particular about not having any of the key fobs close.

make sure you record any codes before clearing.

That sounds to me like you got a sensor reading that was out of acceptable range. What was the pedal commander set at?

I don’t want to worry about any key fob being to close or any of that so I just disconnected the negative battery terminal when I installed mine. Zero issues so far.

I am sharing my experience with pedal commander :

My email:

Hello

I needed to remove the pedal commander on my 2017 ford raptor. I got several warnings then finally a check engine.

I removed it by unlocking my car, removing the wire harness and reconnecting the stock wire.
Turned on the car.
Got several warnings that several things were disabled like traction control.
Turned car on then off. Same errors.
Turned car off and on again. Same thing.

I then drove my car for 60 feet.

Turned it off and on again.

This time those warnings didn't appear but now the check engine light is on.

I turned off the car and went to bed.

This morning the check engine light was still there.

The instruction manual doesn't mention how to remove it. Therefore I assumed I didn't need to unlock the car, leave it with the door open for 10-15 minutes with the key 10 meters away.

When I removed it, I simply unlocked the door with the key in pocket and immediately unconnected the pedal commander.

I am very unhappy with this experience for an expensive $300 product.

Regards,

Their response:

Hi hedonist222, thanks for reaching out to us. We're sorry you experienced this with the Pedal Commander. Just to clarify, you are receiving a CEL with the Pedal Commander unplugged, correct? If this is the case, it sounds like there is a misconnection between your stock wires and the plugs. I recommend plugging in your stock wires again and ensuring the connection is secure. You can also clear the codes by unplugging the negative terminal on your truck's battery or by using a code reader available at any auto parts store. Let us know if you have any other questions.

I replied back:

Yes, CEL with the pedal commander unplugged.
I did connect and reconnect the stock wires. Very carefully.

The question is, after unplugging the pedal commander, why did I get several warning notifications?
Then after restarting the vehicle several times, the warnings went away but now I'm stuck with the CEL.

thier response:

Hi hedonist222, it is most likely the result of a misconnection. The Pedal Commander does not have the ability to damage your vehicle. You should be able to clear the CEL by unplugging the negative terminal on your battery or by using a code reader. It should disappear on its own after a day or two as well.

weird. The simplest install - and probably de-install is battery disconnect first, manipulate throttle wires, reconnect battery. FWIW, if you install with the battery connected, make sure the interior alarm sensors aren’t on if you are going to take more than 10-15 minutes or the alarm will get triggered - then you have to get the keys from wherever you stashed them while your truck is blaring the ’someone’s trying to steal me’ conniption fit.

I just turn the PC off and tuck it under the interior trim. Thanks for your disconnect tale of woe, maybe others will be more successful.

Woe after woe indeed.

I decided, after 3 weeks of actively using it, that I & my raptor deserve better.

Took it off.
Sent it back for a refund.
$300 it's a lot for a meddling device & extra poor customer service.
I like Turkish food & the Turkish country side but stay away from űlker-grade products :p.

Installed the mpt tune.
So far so good.
