On my Honda Accord the alarm automatically engages when the key fob is out of range. Is there any way to make that happen with the factory alarm on a 2020? Aftermarket alarm that would do the same? Thanks!

I thought it did; there’s no motion/shock detector stock, but try to get in the truck without the fob close by. Or, if you have the interior sensors on, move around once the accessory power shuts down.

aha... now I know what you mean. I don’t know of that with the factory alarm.

You would think maybe it should. The truck can tell when the fob is out of range when it is running, hence the warning beeps and one of the first things we disable In FORScan. New Lincoln’s know when you come near the car and the lights come on. They don’t automatically unlock however. But I do wonder if this option exists and just hasn’t been enabled by Ford or Lincoln.

I don't know what year model or package/options you have and the people above have no idea what they are talking about. On my 2019 Raptor when I lock the doors my alarm is activated. It comes with motion sensors, glass break and goes off if the truck is jossled...as in being towed. If your window is down and truck is locked and someone puts their arm in to grab something it goes off due to the motion sensors. Read your owners manual. If you didn't get the alarm as part of your option package then there are plenty of aftermarket systems although probably expensive. The ford app even tracks your vehicle location. Not sure why people above and others think the Raptors don't have an alarm/motion sensors, etc cause they do if you optioned it correctly.

Don't think you understood my question/I didn't make it clear. When I walk away from my Honda the doors automatically lock and the alarm is armed. Would love my truck to do the same. The touchscreen inside is a helluva lot clearer on my Honda too at half the price, but I love my truck :)

Some people are referring to the add on Ford shock sensor. To my knowledge this is not available from the factory and could be a dealer installed option. Almost everyone I have come across has had to add it if they want it.

No for Jeff’s question. To my knowledge and I have been all over this for a while now. The Raptor doesn’t offer auto locking when you walk away from the vehicle with the fob. If you unlock the doors with the fob, the truck will re lock after a short period of time if you do not enter the vehicle or open the door physically. There are two time values adjustable through ForScan you can set.

I’d love to be corrected on this and find out there is a ForScan mod to allow it, but none I have found.

Got it. Nope...the truck won't lock itself. Gotta hit the button on the handle or use the fob.
