My 2 cents on the lifted debate. I like mine lifted since I needed the extra clearance, kept dragging the frame in deep ruts on some of the roads I go down. Didn't feel like getting hung up and having to wait hours to get pulled out. Anyone that has worked in the oilfield and travelled down a lease road that is sloppy mud after a rig move knows what I am talking about. And then their is also the issue of water seeping in under the doors with a lower truck. I have ruined the interior of many work trucks since they were not lifted.

If you are going to lift and still use the Raptor off-road I can say you will need to do a lot more work than just sticking a lift kit on. Those kits drive like s**t without doing more suspension and steering work. Be prepared to shell out a bit of $$$ to get it done right.

Exactly! Just don’t half ass it. For most a stock Raptor will perform most anywhere they are going to take it. For many others no! People who go hardcore off roading or take the truck to extremes may need to mod it. Just know the facts and know what you need to get out of it.

There will always be peeps who do 8” lifts as that’s what they like and that’s what they want to show off. So be it! Loads of high rolling, big wheeled and thin rubbered trucks down here.

I'm a poser. Mine is leveled and I run 37"s. I really like the way it looks. I would run 40"s if I did not have to run fenders. I will leave that to Zombie.

Yep, this is truly a Neanderthal tiny-***** truck forum. That’s ok, I’m certainly not a “truck” guy but I do love the overall performance of my Raptor. I’m sure it’s my first and last truck, but I’m enjoying it.

It's okay, this being a true community, we're usually rather charitable when it comes to those less intellectually fortunate than us.

We'll still at least try to make you feel welcome. sort of.

Correlating the size of a truck to a human body part is a rather interesting way to gain fanfare but to each their own.

I'll make sure that I stop to pat you on the helmet when I see you wandering around Walmart.

Lol you go man go! Was at a car show this weekend. Had a Ford on 54’s!!! That 20” wheel looked small in there. A new F-250 was on 40’s with a serious lift on it. I mean it was a serious lift with a lot of equipment under there. This truck was big and tall and it looked good. Poser truck? Don’t know, it just looked good. Would take the ultimate money and mods to get 40’s under a Raptor. Wouldn’t be my preferred choice.

I spent some time and effort lifting and building my previous truck (2015 Toyota Tacoma https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/johnnys-black-supercharged-4x4.366948/) to make it more capable. (<Its worth checking out)

I’m off road every weekend. I got the Raptor to get equal or better capabilities without the trouble of changing the suspension and the tires, etc...

So far the Raptor is a better ride, more travel and more capable in every way except tight trails. The 360 camera helps in a lot of those situations. No headaches.

Now that I’ve put it to the test, I‘m not planning on changing the stock configuration.
