You can't compare a "luxury" brand (I use that term very loosely with Lexus) with a non-luxury brand.

If you buy a new Lincoln, you get better customer service than what you've described with Lexus. Lincoln will come to your house or work, drop off a loaner, and take your vehicle back to the dealer for service. They'll then drive the vehicle back to you to exchange the loaner. If you choose to bring it to the dealer for service, a free loaner that is the equivalent (or nicer) than your vehicle is provided, gift cards with shuttle service to local shopping is provided, and of course a complimentary (typically hand wash) car wash is included. If you buy a Lincoln Black Label, you get free car washes any time you'd like, a free full detail once per year, complimentary maintenance, and a night on the town at a Michelin Star restaurant all on Lincoln's dime.

I would gladly pay to have such services available for my Raptor and I am sure a bunch of other Raptor owners would too.

My brother owned a Lexus SUV for 10-years and put 140,000 trouble free miles on the truck. They loved the service department experience so much that that traded it in on new 2019 Lexus in November. They didn’t even consider another brand.

I personally am not a fan. But Lexus has a pretty damn good record with there service. And for many that’s worth a lot.

Wife recently had a Volvo XC90 T8. Great 3 row SUV and pretty damn fast and handled great. Volvo service, we thought was horrid!!! And this was a stupid 85k car. Needless to say we ended up not buying another even though she loved the car to the end.

Did they get the shocks replaced? My raptor has been in the shop for a week for the same buzzing shock issue. Ford told them to replace solenoid but didn’t fix. Now dealer say they have to wait for an approval from ford to order a shock assembly. Very frustrating.

I did get the rear shock replaced. Giving it a few miles before I am convinced it’s fixed.

but yeah, I had to get the solenoid replaced first. They refused to just order the complete shock from the getgo.

The dealer I went through was horrible. And I called ford customer service and they were zero help. Pretty unhappy with ford personally.

Yeah, your brother is paying for the convenience of a lovely experience at the premium brand service dept. Probably upwards of $10k. At Ford, your lucky to get a cup of coffee and a ride to work. Even the purchasing experience at Ford is horrible (generally), compared to luxury brands. I'm okay with it.

Not bagging on your brother, it's all about priorities. Time is money, and all that. Some days, I just have more time.

I have to say Lincoln is a different experience than base Ford. But your paying for it. Loaner’s no problem, pickup and delivery. So far give them the problems and no bickering to get them fixed.

My complaint with my local dealer (Galpin) is that they’re just too damn busy. I do my own oil changes and such, but one time I tried to get in because it was throwing codes (I ended up getting it sorted myself), and they literally weren’t even taking appointments for anything other than maintenance. Sure, I could drive further and get in at another dealer, but I’m dreading the day that I actually need something serviced that I can’t handle myself.
Vista is pretty good. I avoid galpin at all costs
