I've been working on my editing skills since I got my camera, so hopefully I can develop this into a hobby.
You need to neutralize your battery cable connections that will continue on to your new battery.
You don't want any of that white crap anywhere!!!
Then once you did that, buy battery protection spray!!! and soak the pads and everything.

Damn I've always been told just to clean it off with a rag that has vinegar on it, not dump vinegar all over. I am going to be cleaning them some more, but I was also looking at replacing them.

I have this stuff on order: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DKRGLM/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

but it wasn't going to arrive on my free weekend to shoot, so i skipped that.

@badm0t0rfinger , just FYI. Our largest wholesale supplier that we use also supplies everything for 4 wheel parts. So basically whatever they can get, we can get and supporting a FRF vendor. :)

I noticed you are located in VA, so we do have to charge the 5.3% sales tax as our physical presence is in Woodlawn, VA. But my usual FRF deal will make up for that sales tax charge for ya, hint, hint.

I also have a 14' RR and I changed my battery too including the sleeve (mine looked just like yours) but I have disconnected my battery quite a few times, messing with lights and spark plugs and I didn't have to change/fix all my radio stations. I assume with the special edition that you have the NAV in yours?

Dang I should have checked around more beforehand. I only went with them because I had a discount code and I could get it shipped to the nearest location for free. I looked at Autozone which the only other dealer local to me and they had no discount code and wanted the core.

I'll be moving from VA to GA to CA over next month so it shouldn't be an issue. There are still a few more things I may need before I roll out, so I'll keep that in mind.

As for the radio when I first turned it on at first it looked like it lost everything then as I was setting the clock it seemed like everything came back up. And my truck does have NAV.
