SO! I went down to the dealership yesterday to pick up some oil filters and seen the dozen Raptors available right now. I had sticker shock when I seen them.. 98K CAD!! or 75K USD for you guys down south. there's no way I'd pay that lol and it got me thinking about doing a gen 2 conversion again.

so is anyone running gen 2 conversion fiberglass on their gen 1? if so, what's your overall thoughts on it?

I have not done one, but to me the dimensions just look off. Yes the front clip is updated to G2, and yes the box sides get converted, but there is just some differences that dont quite look right.
Personally, I think the Gen 1 looks tougher anyway.

Obviously this is a luxury prerunner front end with slightly different dimensions but here’s a Gen 1 prerunner I spotted down in Baja that had Gen 2 glass that looked insanely good. If Gen 2 glass didn’t require new headlights and replacing my existing tube bumper I’d be doing the conversion...

I'll go ahead and stick my foot in my mouth... I ended up building my son a "Poverty-Runner" out of a 2011. Used the latest McNiel G2 one piece and bedsides.
This front clip uses the 2018-2020 headligts, not a Raptor Copy.
