May I ask why we would want a train horn on a raptor? I never blow the horn I have now. Just wondering what you use it for.

The chief use is to scare the crap out of ******** who can't drive for shit so you can laugh at them. :chewie: It is really quite entertaining. I've even had airhorns on my last 3 bikes. I look at it as a public service.

hornblasters hands down. i had a set up on my old raptor, easy to install and fkn loud. i used to roll to work when i tattooed on the vegas strip. so many idiots would cross on the green so id roll right up, stop on a dime and let the tank go. always fun to see cell phones and drink go flying...

installed the tank in the bed, behind the drivers side. if you have a retractable tonneau itll fit perfectly in the little space under the rollup.

Bring this thread back, has anyone tried horn blaster? Also any cheaper systems out there anyone can reccomend ?
Cheap is not really an option if you want a setup that will actually hurt people's feelings. I have the Kleinn Raptor direct fit kit and the only reason I chose them was that it was a dedicated kit. I'm sure you read this thread but where they choose to mount the horns was absolutely stupid, especially if you drive in snow.... or rain, or mud, or off road.. so pretty much anywhere except Phoenix and San Diego. If I had to do it over again, I might go with the Nathan K5 since it's actually a locomotive horn and is the loudest thing out there. I use my bed for dirt bikes etc so I can't have tanks or anything mounted in there. Mounting that Nathan might prove challenging given its size.

I'm surrounded by idiots operating motor vehicles here in Denver. The most popular thing to do here is to continue left turns well after the light has gone red... Holding up traffic that has a green light, you get the idea. Super satisfying to punch it, get right up on their door and empty the tank.
Very effective at moving deer away from road as well, not something you can do with your factory horn. Also- compressed air with quick connect fitting is extremely useful.

Well we’re all surrounded by people who don’t know how to drive or using their phones and not paying attention. It just seems a bit extreme to scare the s—t out of everyone else around you. However to each his own on how you handle the situation. I would prefer to have a blade on the front, ease up to him and then shove his ass up against a pole at the corner. The bystanders would probably enjoy the show. Just saying.

Thanks ya I am looking to mount the tank under the truck. I see some of the tanks are weather proof as you go up in price on hornblasters site.

i believe there is still room on the gen 2s to mount a couple tanks on the passenger side frame rail. thats where i have 2, 2.5 gallon tanks on my gen 1. also there is room above the spare for a 2 gallon tank. i have a 4th tank in my bed for a total of 10cubic feetof air. i also have 4 compressors mounted in my bed. the train horn is mounted to my aftermarket front bumper above the skid plate
