Recently picked up a 2014 raptor that came with no bed protection. I keeping reading online that the linex spray in is best but I’m not sure it is for my situation.

Previous owner seemed to have transported heavy objects, so bed has a good share of paint scratches and dents, especially on the wheel well. It seems that if I did a spray in, it would still show these dents.

A drop in seems to be best for me as it would offer protection as well as hide the imperfections that currently exist.

There seems to be limited reviews on drop ins so I’m having trouble deciding on a brand.

Don't do the drop in, so old school. Do checkout either the bed rug or the bed tread from BedRug. I have the bed tread (love it) which looks like a spray in texture wise but it can be taken in and out if needed. The bed rug is softer on the knees if your plan on crawling in and out of your bed a lot.

Couldn't tell you, I had the Bed cover, bedrug, mud flaps and rain guards before the truck came from Texas.

Check out the link:

The BedRug material is fade and UV resistant.
It's chemical resistant and you can power wash it.
ultra-tough 100% polypropylene (essentially plastic) product.
That means not only will it protect your truck bed from impact dings and damage,
it will stand up to the harshest conditions you can throw at it: from gravel to battery acid.

I got a drop in liner from a regular f150 for $50. It offers better protection against heavy items than bedrug or sprayed liners, thought I would have preferred the linex. For the price, I just couldn't pass on the drop in liner...

It depends on what you are planning to carry. I have had bed rugs or bed mats in several trucks and they work great when used with a cover. I treat mine like an extra large trunk! They are soft on your knees and you can carry most items without issue. They cover up existing marks in the bed and can be cleaned with a push broom you use in your garage. Things do not slide around, unless you are driving spiritedly.

However, if you are planning to carrying dirt and rocks, a bed rug is not the greatest solution. In that case, I would do a heavy spray in liner or a cheaper drop in liner.

I'm with MTF...BED RUG over a drop in liner any day..!! And if you dont have a Tonneau Cover, well, sure you have seen Drop-In Liners on the side of highway once and a while...
I had the BEDRUG in my Tacoma 4x4 and LOVED IT.....would of put one in my 2014 Raptor, but original owner already did the Line-X so it seemed like a waste....but after crawling around on my knees on the Line-X..seriously thinking of putting the padded Bed-Rug over it anyway.......Guess it depends on what your hauling in back of yours....for work, dirty stuff, etc,I'd go with the Line-X...for personal use,not hauling much,I'd go with BedRug...
Leave the cheap plastic bedliners for the Chevy and Ram guys..!!
