What’s it like to replace a bent frame on one of these?

plenty of people have done it for the back of the frame.

The front of the frame is a little trickier, but not impossible.

hell, back-halfing the truck is essentially "frame repair".

Update for everyone.

First off, thank you for all the comments, support, and ideas for how to handle this very shit situation.

Second, I got referred to a dealer who works on Porsche's and are independent to my insurance agency. They are building the quote based on replacing everything on the front, and all drive line components rear driveshaft forward. They assured me that was the safest way and the ONLY way they could guarantee the truck (if it doesn't get totaled). They also said they would do their best to steer the adjuster in that direction, though they couldn't force them to agree with the shop.

Truck gets towed today, I'll update as things happen.

Tell you one thing, regardless of what happens, I'll be buying the 2020 leadfoot grey model I wanted from the start.

Sorry to see this! I feel fairly confident they will not total this based on a truck I had in the past that had similar damage. I went to the most expensive shop I could find and for all the work and a new frame the total came out to about 15k which is no where near where they will total it. Fingers crossed for you though!

That looks horrible. See if your state lets you file for diminished value. Probably at least a few k there. That’s very generous of the repair shop but I don’t think it’s in their interest to total it and loose the work. I’d watch them closely.

Hey, that's racist!!! It's true, but still racist!!! OP, sorry your truck got whacked, but it looks like it's a good thing it got hit or your sitter would have been calling you to tell you some ******* just parked his car in your living room!

Except that it’s not “also true”

but we don’t need to let those pesky “facts” obscure our discussion.
