Purchased a 2014 Raptor Screw, White. 108,000 miles.

Seems to have service history for oil and other basic maintenance but didn't see anything for transmission fluid.

-Should I get a transmission fluid flush?
-What is the recommended engine oil weight? Live in South Florida. 5w30?
-Spark plugs. Necessary to change out now or wait? I'm getting quotes around $500 to get this done.

Congratulations!

Transmission flush can be tricky with high mileage maybe just a filter change and the three or four quarts would good.
Oil weight is right but use a good Oil like Mobil 1 Extended Performance (Gold Label)
Spark plugs YES!

Well some guys say if you do a flush on a high mileage tranny that has never been serviced can produce issues with slipping.
If it was me, I'd do it anyway.
I was just making you aware of it, you can research it on the internet, lots of different opinions. LOL

Congrats....your gonna love it..GEN1's Rule...
Mine only has 54K so really only oil changes...but from being on the site since I bought, sounds like your ready for Plugs and Shock Rebuild...and see if your Fuse#27 has been upgraded.Lots of threads on that...
I kind of disagree with the shock rebuild at 50K unless truck has seen alot of off-road use..but at 108K,yeah,I'd start looking into it.
Also lots of threads on the Plug change if you decide to do yourself....
Good luck..and good choice..!!

If there is NO fuse in the #27 slot then it was done.Just pop the fuse box in the Engine compartment right by the hood latch....Also...just google Raptor Fuse 27 on Utube...lots of videos....if it wasnt done, its a cheap $30 kit (its only a fuse, some wires and instructions...about $5 worth of parts...but EVERYTHING is expensive on these Beasts..LOL...I have the kit,but still have not done it...not sure I want to be cutting wires,no matter how easy they make it look....Figure $75-$100 to have dealer do it might be money well spent...
BTW,the #27 is to fuel pump and have read,if it goes, your dead in the water... :-(

I say that its more "if its already damaged a flush will reveal just how bad it really is". The friction material from the clutches will stay in the fluid and act almost as if it was still on the plates, but once a flush takes place it will be removed from the system and now slippage will occur. Its masks the symptoms until the maintenance occurs.

I recently got a filter replace and refill, so only about 40 percent of the fluid was replaced and I think thats a nice middle ground. Plus if the truck lasts as long as I would like, with any luck by the 3rd time thats done all of the fluid should be newer (as in not the original fluid).

Fuse 27 has stickers to indicate when its done. If you want to do it yourself the part is like 20 bucks on amazon and its easy enough to do. From the dealership they shouldn't charge you more than 2 hours of labor and the part, so maybe 160 bucks?

Heres the link for that: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C39T92A/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

Depends on the age of the pads and rotors, but I'd have those done if I had no paperwork saying they were replaced. Also lines since if you are doing brakes you may as well get new fluid. I use Motul RBF 600. Probably overkill but whatever.

Definitely plugs, another thing I'd probably just pay the dealership to do since its a PITA. Unless you want install specific plugs, and then I would probably just ask an indy shop to do it.

Tires could be an issue, I don't know the specifics but the stock ones last about 40k, assuming they are on their 3rd set they have about 28k on them so you could need new tires in the next 10 to 15k miles.

Theres also some "ease of mind" time mods I'd do like a catch can and ABS guards.

At 100k, and not much for service history, I'd do all the fluids first, just so you know its done.
Diff F&R - use synthetic
Trans filter and fluid (no flush)
Flush and fill Rad
Transfer case drain and fill

Below is the list I would tackle when you get to know your truck a bit..

- Fuse 27 relocation...
-Check to see what rotors and pads are on it, cause at 100k they have probably been done or will need it soon.
-Drive shaft slip yoke.. Lots of people complain about the clunk and greasing it.. Just order a new one, you would be surprised how much play will be in the old one.
-U-Joints (Raptor uses two 1410's) I got Spicers with grease zerk
-Tie Rod ends with grease zerks
-Shocks may or may not have been rebuilt. The FOX shocks are a serviceable item on a Raptor

So I guess the I’ll start with the ones I can do

-transfer and diffs. What oil/weight do you recommend
-Flush and fill Rad
-engine Oil change

I see you didn’t mention plugs, are they worth doing now? Higher up in price on the list of things to do.

Brakes do feel a bit “squishy” but hard to tell since I’m coming from an M2. What rotors and brakes do you recommend?
