What tires and drive mode do you like in thick snow? I had Toyo MTs on my Silverado and never had an issue. Going to Tahoe with my 19 SCREW for the first time and they just got a ton of snow.

I’d imagine toyo MTs would BLOW in the snow!?!? West coat winter weather is much different than mid west or northeast.

You could not get around on MTs in the northeast def be bad news.

I run the stock BFG KO2s most of the time but switched to Nokian Hakka snow tires b/c I have run snows on 4x4 trucks in the past & love the feeling of being to drive as if the white stuff wasn’t even there- very confidence inspiring.

I've run mud tires in the winter that weren't bad. I had Trail Grapplers on my 2011 and 2014 F150s and had no issues for 7 Maine winters.

Just curious, what drive modes were you in?

I’ve been using “Deep mud/snow” when it’s more than a foot deep. Seems to do great. We made it past every single stuck vehicle out there today (except the a-holes that parked in the middle of the road. Waited tell they moved). I left the rear diff locked and had to try twice to make it up one hill.

I’ve never driven such a capable vehicle. Went down a deserted road today through 30” drifts and constant 18” snow. Only got nervous a few times because I had no idea where the road was and where the rivers are.

I need a winch and some tire chains for the rear!!!

Good stuff there, TJ. Thanks!

I’ll be experiencing my first winter with my ‘19 Raptor and appreciate what other Raptor owners are setting their modes in (snow covered roads). I read another thread here on this subject and found it very interesting at the many different settings guys like to drive in. Amounts of snow/ice seem to be the variable - maybe not...

I’m blown away by how much snow you guys are driving in...what psi are you putting the tires at? I’ve got 37” Nitto Grapplers, and would love to head to Tahoe next week but they just got dumped. Luckily I have a winch and some max trax but I’d like to not need them lol! I’ve never gone in anything more than 6-8” of snow!

I run about 30 PSI and leave it in the Snow/Mud mode. That has worked best for me. The Raptor with the KO2s does a great job up here. I must have passed 50 vehicles on my way up the hill on Thanksgiving.

I leave the wipers up out of habit to ensure they aren’t frozen to the windshield in the morning.
